Abstract:
Disclosed are a multi-mode transceiver (205) and a circuit (220) for operating the multi-mode transceiver. A multi-mode transceiver includes a first circuit (225) that is configurable to operate as one of a transmitter and a receiver in a first mode, and a second circuit (230) that is configurable to operate as one of the transmitter and the receiver in a second mode. The multi-mode transceiver includes a first element coupled to the first circuit. The multi-mode transceiver includes a second element coupled to the first element and one or more ports (250). The multi-mode transceiver also includes a first switch (325), coupled to the second element and to the second circuit, that is configurable to operate the transceiver in at least one of the first mode and the second mode in conjunction with the first element and the second element.
Abstract:
A novel combination comprising the MEK inhibitor N-{3-[3-cyclopropyl-5-(2-fluoro-4-iodo- phenylamino)6,8-dimethyl;-2,4,7-trioxo-3,4,6,7-tetrahydro-2H-pyrido[4,3-d]pyrimidin-1 - yl]phenyl}acetamide, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or solvate thereof, with a mTOR inhibitor, pharmaceutical compositions comprising the same and methods of using such combinations and compositions in the treatment of conditions in which the inhibition of MEK and/or mTOR is beneficial, e.g. cancer.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of treating cancer in a human and to pharmaceutical combinations useful in such treatment. In particular, the method relates to a cancer treatment method that includes administering N -{3-[5-(2-Amino-4-pyrimidinyl)-2-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-1,3-thiazol-4-yl]-2-fluorophenyl}-2,6-difluorobenzenesulfonamide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and N -{(1S)-2-amino-1-[(3-fluorophenyl)methyl]ethyl}-5-chloro-4-(4-chloro-1-methyl-1 H -pyrazol-5-yl)-2-thiophenecarboxamide, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, to a human in need thereof.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for the preparation of some novel multiconj ugated 2- or 4 -hydroxy substituted stilbenes. The method provides one pot multicomponent approach wherein 3-4 step reaction sequences viz. condensation, decarboxylation and Heck coupling occur simultaneously which results in an enhanced yield of desired products and reduced reaction times
Abstract:
The invention provides methods for using Ang2 inhibitors in combination with VEGF inhibitors to treat disease. The invention also provides compositions, kits, formulations, and specific disease treatments relating thereto.
Abstract:
Fluorinated paracyclophane compounds are disclosed. These compounds can have a trifluorinated moiety and can be utilized as precursor dimer compounds to produce polymeric coatings comprising copolymers of trifluorinated paraxylylene.
Abstract:
Method for tracking an object recorded within a selected frame of a sequence of frames of video data, using a plurality of layers, where at least one object layer of the plurality of layers represents the object includes initializing layer ownership probabilities for pixels of the selected frame using a non-parametric motion model, estimating a set of motion parameters of the plurality of layers for the selected frame using a parametric maximization algorithm and tracking the object. The non-parametric motion model is optical flow and includes warping the mixing probabilities, the appearances of the plurality of layers, and the observed pixel data from the pixels of the preceding frame to the pixels of the selected frame to initialize the layer ownership probabilities for the pixels of the selected frame.
Abstract:
A method and system for performing automated training environment monitoring and evaluation. The training environment may include a mixed reality elements to enhance a training experience.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to the field of cellular tumorigenesis and cancer biology. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to tumorigenesis and cancer in estrogen-responsive cell types, including cell types such as testis, ovary and uterine tissues, mammary gland, brain, skeletal muscle, and lung tissues. The present disclosure further relates to compositions including polypeptides, oligopeptides, petidomimetics, antibodies, and nucleic acids, and pharmaceutical compositions, diagnostic kits, and therapeutic kits useful in the diagnosis or treatment of turnorigenesis in estrogen-responsive cell types.
Abstract:
A scalable architecture for providing real-time multi-camera distributed video processing and visualization. An exemplary system comprises at least one video capture and storage system for capturing and storing a plurality of input videos, at least one vision based alarm system for detecting and reporting alarm situations or events, and at least one video rendering system (e.g., a video flashlight system) for displaying an alarm situation in a context that speeds up comprehension and response. One advantage of the present architecture is that these systems are all scalable, such that additional sensors (e.g., cameras, motion sensors, infrared sensors, chemical sensors, biological sensors, temperature sensors and like) can be added in large numbers without overwhelming the ability of security forces to comprehend the alarm situation.
