Abstract:
The invention concerns a method of removing deposits from a nozzle end, in which pressurized fluid is delivered to the nozzle end. This fluid is activated by ultrasound in front of or inside the nozzle end. An ultrasound vibrator, used to carry out the method, is directly or indirectly connected to the fluid by means of a vibration-transmitter.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a method of treating moving paper webs wherein, before transverse folding of the web along the cross-fold-line provided therein, a cross-groove is produced by means of a radially vibrating rail-like pressure tool and a counter pressure tool. In this way, a sharp folded crease can be produced in thick products in particular.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a rotary press which, in a first operating mode, is divided into many sections. In a second operating mode, this cylinder has a functionally continuous surface area.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for inking a cylinder (4) with highly viscous printing ink, in which an ink duct (1) that is open at the top is used with a doctor blade (8) that is fitted negatively on the cylinder (4). A reserve of printing ink is added to an ink duct (1), such that an inking roller (12) forms in simple manner during the functioning of the machine. A regular and intensive inking of the cylinder (4) results with only low ink circulation.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a folding jaws cylinder which adjusts automatically the folding jaws (7, 13) according to the changing thickness of the product when production is started. This is done by a dual working cylinder-piston unit (32) placed between a first and a second rotational carrier (3, 8) of the folding jaw members. A first chamber (37) of said unit is filled with liquid and linked to a hydraulic accumulator (42) by means of a flow control valve (42). Compressed air is guided to a second chamber (38) of said unit from an external compressed air storage.
Abstract:
The invention concerns an ink duct (1) for a rotary printing press, wherein all or some of the surfaces (19, 21) are permanently coated with a substance (46) which has low surface energy of between 10 and 60 mN/m. As well as enabling the ink duct to be cleaned easily, the blending of the printing ink is improved owing to the reduced frictional resistance of the coated parts (6, 7, 13, 14), which in turn leads to more uniform use of the ink-metering roller (4).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for guiding printed products via overlapping buckets (12). Said products are stream fed on to a conveyor (9). In accordance with the invention, this is done by fitting the buckets (12) on an endless chain (19) in a way that they can swivel. This enables the printed products to slip out of the buckets more smoothly and improves the quality of delivery.
Abstract:
The invention concerns an installation to load and unload rolls automatically in a roll changer (56, 57). The rolls are loaded and unloaded (24) from a single side.
