The communication device includes pilot generation circuitry configured for generating a pilot sequence with a reduced peak-to-average power ratio contribution after rotation.     Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to apparatus and methods for switching operating bandwidth and/or operating channel in a wireless communications network. A transmitting STA may send an announcement of a switch to a particular bandwidth in a frame, wherein the presence of absence of a Secondary Chanel Offset Element and a Wide Bandwidth Channel Switch Element in the frame indicates whether the particular bandwidth belongs to a first or second set of operating bandwidths. The presence of the Secondary Channel Offset Element and a Wide Bandwidth Channel Switch Element in the frame may indicate a switch to the first set of operating bandwidths. The first set of operating bandwidths may include VHT channels including 80MHz only, 80+80MHz and 160 MHz channels. The absence of the Secondary Channel Offset Element and a Wide Bandwidth Channel Switch Element in the frame may indicate a switch to the second set of operating bandwidths. The second set of operating bandwidths may include 20MHz and 40MHz channels.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for performing clear channel assessment at a receiving device are described herein. In some aspects, the receiving device determines whether it is the intended receiver for a data transmission. Upon determining it is the intended receiver, the receiving device transmits a reservation signal. Devices in the vicinity of the receiving device are configured to listen for the reservation signal and refrain from transmitting interfering signals to the receiving device based on the reservation signal.

    Abstract: A communication device for transmitting beamformed signals using implicit channel sounding is described. The communication device includes a processor and instructions stored in memory. The communication device receives one or more sounding signals and computes a channel estimate based on the one or more sounding signals. Frequency offset compensation is applied to the channel estimate by the communication device. The communication device also computes a precoding matrix based on the channel estimate and transmits a beamformed signal using the precoding matrix. Another communication device for receiving beamformed signals using explicit channel sounding is also described. The communication device includes a processor and instructions stored in memory. The communication device receives one or more sounding signals, computes a channel estimate based on the one or more sounding signals and applies amplitude compensation to the channel estimate. The communication device also sends estimated channel data and receives a beamformed signal.
