Abstract:
Abstract:
A coupling (10) is provided between a sheet member (20) with an edge (22) of a thickness T, having at least one opening (24) formed adjacent the edge (22), and a receiving member (30) formed with a recess (32) of a width W and spacers (34) defining within the recess (32) a groove (36) of a width w , which meets the condition T w W . The recess comprises at least one projection (40) protruding into the groove (36), and the groove is adapted to slidingly receive the edge (22) of the sheet member (20) with the projection (40) snap-fitting into the opening (24), thereby providing a secure coupling between the sheet (20) and receiving member (30).
Abstract:
A fastener (800, 900) connects panel members (840, 850, 940, 950) in a flush position. The fastener (800, 900) includes a pair of connecting members (810, 820, 910, 920) which are snap-fit within apertures provided within each of the panel members (840, 850, 940, 950) for securing the panel members (840, 850, 940, 950) together. For this purpose, at least one of the connecting members (810, 820, 910, 920) is removable from the panel member aperture to disconnect the panel members (840, 850, 940, 950). The fastener (800, 900) allows the panels (840, 850, 940, 950) to be assembled together and disassembled quickly and with little or no tooling.
Abstract:
A floor mat retainer, wherein a pin (11) formed integrally with a front retaining part (10) is formed projectedly upward and a slit (13) is formed on its one side, a fixed holding part (20) is provided on the rear surface of the front retaining part (10) roughly in parallel with each other and a movable holding part (23) is provided on it through a hinge part (22) roughly in parallel with each other, free ends (20a and 23a) opening divergently are formed at the top end side of these parts, the movable holding part (23) is formed integrally with a pin close-fitted part (27) extending to the side opposite to the pin (11), and the pin close-fitted part (27) is bent at the hinge part (22) whereby it is fitted closely into the slit (13) and integrated engageably with the pin (11) at an engaging part (28).
Abstract:
The invention concerns a clip for mounting a thermoplastic part on a support, the clip incorporated (11) in the part having a body (3) extended by a nose (4) bearing snap-on catches on the support (2), ribs (7) being urged to stop against the support (2) external surface.
Abstract:
An office-type chair (10), having separate seat (16) and back parts (17) each cushioned and employing a thin inner plastic shell having a perforated central region formed as a thin membrane (51) which is supported solely around the peripheral edge thereof by a suitable ring-like support frame (52). This membrane is semi-rigid in the plane thereof, but possesses at least limited resiliency in the thickness direction and, being free of direct underlying support, provides direct support for the cushion (57) which in turn engages either the back or posterior of the user to provide limited flexibility and desirable comfort and ergonomic support. The membrane in the central region is provided with a first series of wavy strips (91) extending transversely across the membrane in one direction, and a second series (92) of wavy strips extending transversely across the membrane in the other transverse direction.
Abstract:
Locking device for a connector for cooperation with a recess of a member with which the connector is to be connected, said locking device being made of spring elastic material and comprising two shanks which are movable towards and away from each other. At least one of the shanks has, at its end opposite the connector, on its side facing away from the other shank, a protruding hooking means. The shanks are tapered in the direction towards the end opposite the connector and pass over into resilient portions, which have substantially even thickness, have thinner walls than the shanks and project towards each other, said resilient portions being connected by a connecting portion. At the ends facing the connector the shanks form a functionally common base portion.
Abstract:
A connector for supporting an object engages channels (4) in a track (1). The connector is retained laterally and guided longitudinally thereon. A locking element (6) located between connector and track is moveable longitudinally to effect a locking/unlocking action. An object (40) to be supported is secured to one part (36) of a two-part connector in which the two parts have a quick-attach fastening (32, 42) between them. One part (5) is connected to the track (1) and the other part (36) is connected to the object (40). The quick-attach fastening comprises a spring detent (44) and release button (7).
