Abstract:
A housing for electrical components is formed by a series of extruded panels connected edge to edge. The first edge includes a slot defined by an inner wall and an outer wall and the second edge includes a blade inserted into the slot, the blade and the flexible wall including co-operating shoulders. The blade and slot are at an angle to the outer surface where a rib engages into an outer recess to seal the outer surface at the joint. A bridging member spans the joint to prevent spreading, while locking the flexible wall and carrying internal components. The housing can form a post or a receptacle on top of the post. The bridging members connect to end plates by screws extending though the plates so as to form an internal structure for the housing. Some of the connected panels can include cooling fins forming a cooling duct.
Abstract:
The cleanroom panel connection system is provided for connecting together two juxtaposed and spaced-apart cleanroom modular panels. The system includes a first and a second panel connection member having a widthwise dimension fitting in-between the first and the second major surfaces of the panels. The panel connection members each include a central flange configured and disposed to partially overlap with one another. Spaced-apart removable fasteners are inserted sideways through overlapping portions of the central flanges to attach them together. At least one removable cover is provided to close a gap between the two panels. In use, the outer surface of the cover is substantially flush and seamless with reference to one of the major surfaces of the panels. A method of constructing a cleanroom is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A panel attachment arrangement for attaching a panel 3.003 to a support 7.066 having a pair of opposite sides each opposite side having an engagement lip 7.078 which, in use, are on the opposite face of the support to the panel, the panel attachment arrangement including: a pair of first projections 3.005 adapted to receive a pair of opposite sides of a support; each projection including an inward transverse second projection 3.007 adapted to seat behind or in a corresponding one of the recesses in the support, wherein one or more of (a) the panel, (b) the first projections, or (c) the second projections are flexible or resilient, whereby the second projections can be resiliently splayed or flexed beyond the opposite sides of the support to engage the corresponding lip when the flexing force is removed.
Abstract:
A fastening device which comprises a clip (1) and a retaining element (2) said clip in the rest condition has a form with a general arch-shaped and/or conical configuration, being provided with a head or rounded central surface (5) from where both lateral wings (4) for fastening to a panel as well as resilient lugs (3) for fastening the retaining element (2) to said clip (1) extend laterally, there being provided means for fastening the retaining element (2) inside the clip (1), said device being configured for assembly with said retaining element (2) inside said clip (1) providing temporary fastening of said retaining element (2) in said clip (1), said fastening means comprising said resilient lugs (3) having fold (10) form which they extend so as to form inner wings (8) which are provided with an opening (9) inside which, upon insertion of said retaining element (2), projections (16) thereof engage.
Abstract:
A one-piece fastening mechanism for attaching a first member such as a molding or trim piece to a second member such as the side panel of a motor vehicle, the fastening mechanism being preferably integrally formed with the molding or trim piece and including a body portion having a first opening extending longitudinally along substantially the full length thereof and a second opening extending transversely through the body portion. The body portion and the transverse opening define a plurality of resiliently flexible barbs or detents, the fastening member being sufficiently flexible so as to be compressed during insertion into an aperture associated with the second member whereby the plurality of detents are moved into engagement with the peripheral edge portions of the aperture.
Abstract:
A device for mounting an item on a surface includes a base plate having front and rear major surfaces, a fastener for securing the base plate to the surface, and a retaining member removably connected with the base plate front major surface to retain the item on the device.
