Abstract:
An electrical device may include first and second mounting portions arranged at opposite ends of the electrical device and adapted to mount the electrical device to an electrical box, and an alignment feature adapted to align the electrical device with an adjacent electrical device by contacting the adjacent electrical device as the electrical device slides toward the adjacent electrical device. An adapter may include first and second mounting portions adapted to be attached to first and second mounting portion of an electrical device, and an alignment feature adapted to align the electrical device with an adjacent electrical device by contacting the adjacent electrical device when the one or both of the electrical device and the adjacent electrical device are slid laterally while mounted to an electrical box.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, a system includes an electrical device, a frame adapted to be attached to and removed from the electrical device without removing the electrical device from an installed position, a rocker pivotally attached to the frame, a switch disposed within the electrical device, and a subrocker arranged to enable the rocker to actuate the switch. In another embodiment, an interchange kit includes a frame adapted to be attached to and removed from an electrical device without removing the electrical device from an installed position, and a rocker pivotally attached to the frame. The rocker may be adapted to engage a subrocker on the electrical device.

Abstract:
A control device (1) has a control panel (4) and backlighting elements (2) for backlighting control elements (3) on the control panel (4), wherein the backlighting elements (2) are arranged to emit light in a direction away from the control panel (4), and the control device (1) comprises a reflector (5) on its rear side for directing light emitted by the backlighting elements towards the control elements (3) on the control panel (4). The control elements are preferably touch control elements. The backlighting elements are preferably provided on a support (7) which also supports a remote control receiver (10) and/or a daylight sensor (11).
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention relates to a microscope, comprising a number of electrically controlled microscope components, such as a lens turret, a filter turret, diaphragms, light path switching devices, illumination devices, etc., which influence the light path in the microscope. According to the invention, switchable illumination is provided for the operating elements for these components so that said operating components can be operated reliably, even in poor ambient light conditions.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a water- and/or dust-proof rocker switch unit with a built-in light. In known switches of this type, a special chamber is provided inside the housing to accommodate the lighting unit, the chamber being accessible from the outside. Such an arrangement necessitates a complex casting mould and in addition does not completely seal the lighting unit off from the surroundings. The problem addressed by the invention was to create a sealed rocker switch with lighting unit in which the lighting unit would also be completely sealed off from the surroundings, while allowing the housing to be relatively simple in design. This is achieved in principle by the provision of integral lighting windows which allow the emission of light from the lighting units fitted in the inner chamber of the housing. Advantageous developments concern the arrangement of a light guide on the actuating cap and protection of the plug by downward extension of the housing walls.
Abstract:
An apparatus for efficiently transferring electric power to doors from a door jamb in order to energize door-associated electrical devices, which includes a door for entering and exiting a room, a stationary door electric power transfer bar affixed to the door and a door jamb associated with the door. A striker plate is provided for the door jamb and there is a retractable energized electric power transfer member in the striker plate, along with a power supply for electrical devices associated with the door which would require electrical power.
Abstract:
An electrical switch with identifying features. Embodiments include an electrical switch that comprises a rocker that is pivotable between a first position and a second position such that the electrical circuit is energized when the rocker is in the first position and deenergized when the rocker is in the second position, a cover arranged within the rocker such that a front surface of the cover is viewable by a user; an interchangeable label arrangeable a rear surface of the cover, a light pipe arrangeable proximate a rear surface of the interchangeable label, and an illuminating element. In embodiments, the electrical switch may include a tactile switch arranged proximate a rear surface of the light pipe, such that the tactile switch can be activated by an application of rearward pressure to the cover.
