Abstract:
A method and device for providing information about a medical condition are described herein. The device can include a monitor that gathers information about the physiological systems of the patient, reads from the memory storage, identifies time dimensioned dynamic patterns of the data related to a stressed condition, determines the severity of the perturbation patterns for a plurality of physiological systems. The device can also include a display processor that provides a visual display of time dimensioned output of the severity of the dynamic patterns as a storm spreading across visual depictions of the physiological systems comprising a metaphorical, color weather map visualization of a dynamic progression, expansion and relational severity of the perturbation patterns as they spread across physiologic systems.
Abstract:
A method and system for analyzing data about a physiological occurrence is described herein. The method includes executing a first software element to produce a result set with physiological data related to a set of patients. The method also includes detecting a physiological occurrence within the result set. Furthermore, the method includes generating a second software element to increase the accuracy of the first software element based on the physiological occurrence and the physiological data from the set of patients.
Abstract:
A method comprises playing a selected channel. The method further comprises determining a quality metric for the selected channel, determining whether an alternate channel with the same program as the selected channel is available, determining a quality metric for the alternate channel if the alternate channel with the same program as the selected channel is available, and playing the alternate channel if the quality metric of the alternate channel is higher than the quality metric of the selected channel.

Abstract:
A method for sensing, in an electronic device, the presence and inferring therefrom an intent of an object includes sensing a baseline ambient spatial average temperature for a sensed field of view, monitoring the sensed field of view for a variation in the ambient spatial average temperature of the field of view relative to the baseline, characterizing any detected variation, determining whether the detected variation is a recognized variation, and causing the electronic device to take at least one predetermined action responsive to a recognized variation.
Abstract:
Techniques for user authentication are described herein. In one example, an electronic device may include logic, at least partially implemented in hardware, that can determine that the electronic device has received sensor data, the sensor data indicating the electronic device is to enter an activation state and detect authentication credentials in response to determining that the electronic device is to enter the activation state. The logic can also determine whether the authentication credentials are valid and grant access to the electronic device if the authentication credentials are valid. Additionally, the logic can deactivate the electronic device in response to a change in the sensor data.
