    Abstract: A double helical coil antenna includes a low frequency helical coil configured to operate in axial mode emitting a beam of radio waves with circular polarization in a preselected direction, wherein one end of the low frequency helical coil terminating on a ground plate. It further includes a higher frequency helical coil configured to operate in axial mode emitting a beam of radio waves with circular polarization in a preselected direction, wherein the higher frequency helical coil concentrically mounted within the low frequency helical coil and with one end terminating onto the same ground plate, wherein the higher frequency helical coil selected to have opposite polarization to the low frequency coil. Preferably the antenna further includes a beam reflector cup mounted onto the ground plate having a cup bottom and a cup wall wherein the diameter is dimensioned to fit in between the low frequency helical coil and the higher frequency helical coil thereby increasing the gain of the higher frequency helical coil.

    Abstract: Disclosed is an aircraft and a method of controlling an aircraft. The aircraft comprises a continuous wing assembly extending from port to starboard sides of the aircraft. The aircraft is controlled partially by flexing portions of the wing, and partially or totally by mechanical systems that alter the position of a fuselage with respect to the wing. The fuselage is attached to the wing by a wing/fuselage joint structure that permits at least two mutually orthogonal axes of rotation of the fuselage relative to the wing. The aircraft includes a sensors, a telemetry system linked to a remote server, and a control system for programming flight information and aircraft control instructions and a plurality of actuators responsive to the control system for rotating the fuselage relative to the wing and flexing the wing for controlling the flight of the aircraft in response to instructions from the control system.

    Abstract: There is disclosed a method for deploying container inspection equipment from a conduit into a fluid container, comprising: filling the conduit containing the equipment with a first fluid at a first pressure; releasing a second fluid at a second pressure greater than the first pressure, wherein the release of the second fluid generates a sufficient force to move the fluid in the conduit past the equipment and in a direction towards the container, and wherein the moving fluid pushes the equipment in the conduit at least a distance and in the direction towards the container. There is disclosed a apparatus for deploying equipment from a conduit into a fluid container, the conduit in fluid communication with the container, comprising: a housing having a first portion and a second portion, the second portion in fluid communication with the interior of the conduit, the first portion including an aperture by which a second fluid at a second pressure, which is greater than the first pressure, can pass into the interior of the housing; wherein at rest, the equipment is received in the conduit and the conduit contains the first fluid, and wherein when it is desired to deploy the equipment into the container, a volume of the second fluid is released through the aperture and in a direction towards the container, and wherein the force generated by the movement of fluid past the equipment pushes the equipment in the conduit at least a distance and in the direction towards the container.

    Abstract: A machine is provided for preparing a desired beverage product from infusible materials. The machine includes a brew chamber that is adapted to hold the infusible materials, the brew chamber having an inlet and an outlet. An inlet tube is provided for transferring a fluid from a fluid receptacle to the inlet of the brew chamber and a dispensing tube is provided for transferring fluid from the outlet of the brew chamber to the receptacle. A fluid pump is provided for recirculating fluid through the brew chamber. In another aspect, a machine is provided for preparing a desired beverage product containing a gas. The machine includes a fluid pump for recirculating fluid from a fluid receptacle through an inlet tube to a dispensing tube and back to said fluid receptacle. The machine further includes an air pump disposed between the inlet tube and the fluid pump for introducing air into said beverage fluid that is recirculated by said fluid pump. A pod for use with the machine is also provided.

    Abstract: A respiratory hose assembly for the use of respiratory gases for a patient in treating various medical conditions is present. A heated respiratory hose assembly is disclosed that includes a pair of heated hoses and various fittings to convey respiratory gases in a closed circuit between a medical device, such as a ventilator or CPAP device, and a patient. Such a hose assembly may be used in a medical environment, such as a hospital or a non-medical environment such as a patient's home. Such a hose assembly may incorporate a relatively minimal set of components to reduce opportunities for errors in assembling those components, as well as connecting various sensors thereto, as part of preparing the hose assembly for use.

    Abstract: The invention provides an improved record making system, the system having a puck former having an outlet, the puck former being movable between an automatic position and a semi¬ automatic position and adapted to periodically produce a puck and to deliver the puck to the outlet.     Abstract: Performance mapping of equipment performance parameters by capturing, mapping, and/or structuralizing equipment performance data of a device for installation in a system. This includes generating performance maps which outline the expected feature performance parameter behavior of the equipment based on a set of operating parameters that capture the operating conditions. Each performance parameter on the map is representative of an operating point of specific operating conditions taken at a particular point in time. In one example, a performance parameter can be defined by an individualized set of parameter coefficients which in turn are dependent on instantaneous operating conditions. With the performance maps determined individually for devices as part of the system, and stored along with a time of testing, activities such as continuous commissioning, monitoring and verification, preventative maintenance, fault detection and diagnostics, as well as energy performance benchmarking and long term monitoring can be performed.
