Abstract: A multi-functional fitting for piping, tubing or other conduit comprises: a body defining a channel between three ports; a test plug at one port; and a secondary valve at a second port. The test plug comprises a self-closing valve. The test plug is configured to receive a tip of an instrument such as a measuring probe. The secondary valve comprises a different valve configuration and is selectively operable between an open and a closed position. Coupling mechanisms are provided at the second a third port. In an example, the coupling mechanisms are different types. The fitting may be T-shaped, Y shaped, shaped or the like. A method is provided to measure a gas property or maintain a sensor processing unit using the multi-functional fitting.

Abstract: An automated method of pipeline sensor integration for product mapping of a pipeline network is provided. The method includes acquiring, by a plurality of sensors of the pipeline network, first sensor responses of a pipeline in the pipeline network when a first hydrocarbon product is flowing through the pipeline. The method further includes using a prediction circuit to receive the acquired first sensor responses, integrate the received first sensor responses into one or more integrated first sensor responses in order to improve accuracy of the received first sensor responses, and identify the first hydrocarbon product in the pipeline based on the integrated first sensor responses. The prediction circuit is built from training data using a machine learning process. The training data includes first training sensor responses of the pipeline by the plurality of sensors acquired at a previous time when the first hydrocarbon product was flowing through the pipeline.

Abstract: In a system and method for supervisory management of fluid pipeline/LNG plant/gas plant/refinery/offshore oil and gas platform allowing simultaneous execution of commands at all control points, significantly increasing the speed at which an optimal set-point can be achieved in comparison to manual entry of commands. The pipeline/LNG plant/gas plant/refinery/offshore oil and gas platform control system has a cascade control configuration that can operate in conjunction with existing pipeline/LNG plant/gas plant/refinery/offshore oil and gas platform protection systems. The control room operator can activate automatic operation via the supervisory management system, and can subsequently command that the system switch back to manual control instantaneously. Dynamic models predict operating conditions of pipeline/LNG plant/gas plant/refinery/offshore oil and gas platform processes subject to constraints on pressure and other operating parameters. A steady-state optimization layer, operating in conjunction with real-time control, determines optimal states without operator intervention.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides for analysis systems that are configured to extract a fluid sample from a fluid (e.g., aqueous solution) in a reactor (e.g., bioreactor) at a first rate and then flow the fluid sample to a sensor system at a second rate to analyze the fluid sample. The sensor system can detect the presence and/or concentration of molecules (e.g., biomolecules such as biomarkers (e.g., metabolites, proteins, peptides, cytokines, growth factors, DNA, RNA, lipids) and cells of different types and cell properties, e.g., mechanical stiffness, etc.)). The data obtained can be used by a feedback control system to modify, as needed, the conditions in the reactor to enhance the productively of the reactor.
