    摘要: The invention relates to a method and device for processing polymeric material by compressing said material at a pressure ranging from 0.7 to 100 MPa and on cooling. A consecutive breakdown is carried out by shearing the material under pressure and on cooling. The shearing is amplitude-modulated with a frequency ranging from 0.3 to 1000 Hz and a modulation index ranging from 0.05 to 1, a maximum value of the shearing stress being ranging from 1 to 50 N/mm . The inventive device comprises a body (1), a pressure spiral conveyor (5) and a rotor (8) and is provided with a shearing stress modulator (7,15) which is arranged either between the pressure spiral conveyor (5) and the rotor (8), and/or on the inner surface of the body (1). The shearing stress modulator (7) is arranged between the pressure spiral conveyor (5) and the rotor (8) in such a way that it is rotatable and embodied in the form of an elliptic cylinder or a straight polygonal prism, or a rotation body provided with grooves which are embodied on the surface thereof. The shearing stress modulator (15) is arranged on the inner surface of the body (1) and has the form of an annular boss which is provided with longitudinal and inclined grooves embodied on the surface thereof. In the other embodiment, the device is provided with a two-element shearing stress modulator which is arranged in a grinding zone (6). The first element (16) of the shearing stress modulator is arranged between the pressure spiral conveyor (5) and a rotor (8), and the second element (17) of the shearing stress modulator is arranged on the inner surface of the body (1).

    摘要: A method of making polymeric particulates wherein polymeric scrap material, virgin polymeric material and mixtures thereof are supplied to intermeshing extruder screws which are rotated to transport the polymeric material along their length and subject the polymeric material to solid state shear pulverization and in-situ polymer compatibilisation, if two or more incompatible polymers are present. Uniform pulverized particulates are produced without addition of a compatibilizing agent. The pulverized particulates are directly melt processable (as powder feedstock) and surprisingly yield a substantially homogeneous light color product. The pulverized particulates also can be more intimately mixed than mixtures which are provided by only melt mixing, and can be melt processed without a significant delay in achieving phase inversion. The pulverized particulates also provide a stable microstructure.

    摘要: Plastic refuse of different chemical compositions is salvaged by loading it, crushed, washed and dried, into a homomicronizing device (1) comprising a cylindrical chamber (2) housing a high-speed rotor (6) with suitably oriented blades (32). The crushed material is rotated by the rotor and, after being crushed mechanically into smaller and smaller pieces, is heated to a gel by the friction between itself, the blades (32) and the wall of the chamber (2), which gelling is indicated by a sharp increase in the input of the rotor. At this point, the gel, which is fluid and fully homogenized, is unloaded from the chamber, extruded and converted into granules suitable for producing finished products using standart injection molding and extrusion techniques.
