A presente invenção se refere a um material compósito líquido, homogêneo e isotrópico tridimensional, formado por uma composição de resina pré-reforçada com microfilamentos de fibra de vidro, assim como ao método de sua fabricação. Os microfilamentos são obtidos cortando fibra continua em forma de fita rígida de filamentos e são adicionados à composição de resina até que a quantidade de fibra na mistura alcance uma fração predeterminada correspondente a uma predeterminada viscosidade. A baixa viscosidade da mistura deve permitir a saída de qualquer ar que possa ter sido introduzido durante o compounding. A mistura pode ser moldada por sistemas que requerem fluidez, como spray, injeção, lâminação-continua, casting etc. O compósito líquido pode ser adicionado com qualquer tipo de cargas e aditivos viabilizando sistemas de compressão como BMC/SMC, extrusão, pultrusão etc.

The tracking capability is provided by including tracer chips in the UD-DFC molding compound. The tracer chips include a resin matrix and at least one unidirectional carbon tow which is made up of a plurality of carbon filaments. The tracer chip further includes a unidirectional tracer yarn which is made up of a plurality of unidirectional filaments that are detectable by x-ray or other radiation-based scanning technique.

Faserverstärktes Verbundelement (1), insbesondere für Fahrzeugverkleidungen, das aus einer Kunststoffmatrix (2), Naturfasern (4) und hochste Armierungsfasern (3), die eine Feinheitfestigkeit von mindenstens 50 cN/Tex aufweisen, ausgebildet ist, wobei die Kunststoffmatrix mit Naturfasern und Armierungsfasern durchsetzt ist. Entsprechend sieht ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines faserverstärkten Verbundelements, zumindest den folgenden Schritt vor: gleichmäßiges Einmischen von Armierungsfasern in ein Naturfaservlies aus Naturfasern und Einbringen eines Kunststoffmatrix-Materials in das Naturfaservlies mit den eingemischten Armierungsfasern derart, dass die Armierungsfasern und die Naturfasern in dem Kunststoffmatrix-Material gleichmäßig verteilt sind.
