Abstract:
A method of making a microstructured adhesive article that includes (a) providing an article comprising a crosslinked pressure sensitive adhesive layer disposed on a backing; and (b) embossing the surface of the crosslinked pressure sensitive adhesive layer to form a crosslinked pressure sensitive adhesive layer having a microstructured adhesive surface.
Abstract:
An interlayer for laminated glasses which does not cause the moire phenomenon even when having an embossed pattern with grooves and ridges disposed regularly or arranged at a regular interval, hence has satisfactory workability in cutting or laminating, and is highly effective in expelling air in preliminary press bonding; and a high-quality laminated glass produced with the same which is almost free from quality defects caused by residual bubbles. The interlayer is highly effective in air expelling even without strictly controlling the air expelling initiation temperature in the preliminary press bonding, is excellent in nonblocking properties during storage, handleability during glass processing, and productivity, and can be easily and efficiently used under various processing conditions. It comprises a thermoplastic resin sheet having on each side thereof an embossed pattern comprising grooves and ridges.
Abstract:
High clarity optical and safety glass laminate interlayer films and optical laminates are described. The films and their laminates comprise very low density polyethylene and/or its copolymers, preferably polymerized with metallocene catalysts, and modified with additives, such as coupling agents, clarifying or nucleation agents, UV-light absorbers, pigment or color concentrate, and IR-light blockers.
