Provided is a method of making a polymeric composition comprising (a) providing a dispersion of initial polyolefin particles in an aqueous medium, wherein the initial polyolefin particles comprise (i) one or more hydrocarbon polyolefin, (ii) one or more non-hydrocarbon polyolefin, and (iii) one or more crosslinking agent; (b) contacting the initial polyolefin particles with a peroxide initiator to form crosslinked polyolefin particles.

The present disclosure provides a supported catalyst system and process for use thereof. In particular, the catalyst system includes four different catalysts, a support material and an activator. The catalyst system may be used for preparing polyolefins, such as polyethylene.

Disclosed in embodiments herein are monolayer or multilayer films. The films include at least one layer including a) a polyethylene polymer component comprising linear low density polyethylene; and b) a wax component comprising nonpolar, polyethylene wax, wherein the nonpolar, polyethylene wax has a density of 0.955 grams/cm3 or greater, and wherein the nonpolar, polyethylene wax is present in an amount of at least 3 percent by weight of the film. Also disclosed in embodiments herein are related compositions and methods of making monolayer or multilayer films.

A polymer composition that can be used to form a melt-extruded film is provided. The polymer composition may contain an olefinic polymer and a transition metal salt. By selectively controlling specific aspects of the polymer and the transition metal salt, as well as the relative concentration of each component, the present inventors have discovered that the resulting composition can exhibit a relatively fast oxidation rate, which has been found to improve the adhesion of the composition to a wide variety of substrates.

Films suitable for shrink film applications are disclosed comprising at least one heterogeneous ethylene interpolymer having a short chain branching distribution profile index, DPI SCB , that satisfies the formula: -1 ≤ DPI SCB ≤ 1. The at least one heterogeneous ethylene interpolymer has a density from about 0.911 g/cm 3 to about 0.942 g/cm 3 , a melt index from about 0.2 dg/min to about 3.5 dg/min and is produced using an in-line Ziegler-Natta catalyst. Additional embodiments include shrink films prepared from blends of at least one heterogeneous ethylene interpolymer and at least one high pressure ethylene polymer. The disclosed shrink films have improved puncture strength and machine direction shrink tunnel shrink force relative to control shrink films of the same composition but the control heterogeneous ethylene interpolymer, produced with a batch Ziegler-Natta catalyst, has a DPI SCB greater than 1.0.
