Abstract:
The method of the invention is implemented in ad hoc communications network employing at least two-hop routing and wherein each node in the network employs an omnidirectional send/ receive capability. Each node keeps a near neighbour database (NND) updated by receiving of messages. Each Othernode in the network, the message of which was received by Mynode in a time period T, is a candidate for becoming a relay for transmitting Mynode's messages. The probability of an Othernode to become a relay for Mynode is higher for a larger amount of candidates Othernode has in its NND. The probability for the Othernode to become a relay is higher the larger its distance from Mynode.
Abstract:
A node for a wireless communication infrastructure is provided. The node comprises a transceiver, a routing circuit, a power supply and switch. The transceiver is configured to transmit and receive wireless communication signals. The routing circuit is configured to route signals to and from other nodes and data sinks via the transceiver. The power supply is configured to supply power to the transceiver and the routing circuit. Finally, the switch is configured to toggle routing functions of the routing circuit on and off.
Abstract:
Provided are a location registration method for adaptive route optimization in a mobile communication network, a packet transmission method using the same, and a computer-readable recording medium storing a program for realizing the methods. The location registration method includes the steps of : a) calculating a session- to-mobility ratio (SMR) defined as a ratio of a session arrival rate to a mobility rate; b) comparing the SMR with a predetermined value; c) determining a mobile node (MN) of the mobile communication network; and d) registering a location of the mobile node (MN) according to the results of the steps b) and c) .
Abstract:
An address management method and a routing method for a wireless personal area network (WPAN) is provided. The address management method includes setting an update route flag relating to a portable node and a previous network address which is an address of the node before the movement, if a node moves around; and broadcasting a network command frame including the set update route flag and previous network address.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for establishing a communication connection in a telecommunication network comprising several relays, in particular in a mobile radio network, between a first communication user, initiating the connection and a second target user. The relays, the first communication user and the target user have topological addresses and share said addresses with a register. According to the invention, for a secure operation of the telecommunication network, the method is characterised in that a residence zone is assigned to the target user. The invention further relates to a telecommunication network for carrying out said method for establishing a telecommunication connection.
Abstract:
A communication method and apparatus using location information of a communication unit are provided. The communication method includes (a) receiving and storing information on other communication terminals with a coverarge area, (b) receiving data from a transmission terminal, (c) removing the received data when a communication terminal receiving the data is not a destination of the received data, and (d) when the communication terminal receiving the data is the destination, but not a final destination, transmitting the data to another communication terminal nearest to the final destination within a coverage area of the communication terminal receiving the data. Accordingly, data can be transmitted from one communication terminal to another communication terminal, out of the coverage area of the one communication terminal, using communication terminals as releays, so it is not necessary to establish an extra base station, thereby providing an economical and convenient communication method and apparatus.
Abstract:
The invention provides for conversion of latitude and longitude to an addressing scheme that supports current TCP/IP (v4) and future addressing (v6/ng) requirements. More specifically, it allows a decentralization of the unicast point to device on the hosted network. Geographical Internet Protocol (GeoIP) addressing will facilitate any cast routing schemes where the nearest node has a statically assigned GeoIP. Geo routing, and network management become a function of the GeoIP address.
