Abstract: A support grid assembly for use in a pressure vessel includes one or more screen panel assemblies that are flexibly, fluidly coupled to a central fluid manifold. Each screen panel assembly is operably slidably inserted into a central fluid manifold, whereby a flexible connection fluidly individually seals each screen panel assembly to the central fluid manifold. Through the use of a flexible connection, each screen panel assembly can individually slide, rotate or otherwise shift relative to the central fluid manifold and into engagement with a vessel floor regardless of inconsistencies in the vessel floor.

Abstract: A fluid filtering apparatus such as for filtering particulates and other materials from treated water includes a tank and a filtration region configured as a plurality of individual effluent regions, defined in part by channel frames, disposed between a plurality of influent regions interposed between the effluent regions. Filter plates having an opening therethrough covered by a filter media are removable receivable in the channel frames, such that filter media in filter plates in adjacent channel frames is in a facing, opposed, relationship. A double sided backwash shoe is scannable in the influent regions, to simultaneously clean opposed filter media exposed thereto. The backwash shoe is free to move inwardly and outwardly of the opposed filter media. Additionally, the tank may include a second filtration region, which is selectively isolatable from the first filtration region.

Abstract: An edge closure system is presented herein wherein a portion of the closure edge of the filter bags leading to the outlet pipe aperture are provided with mating snapping closures, allowing to sealingly close the length of the edge of the fabric leading to the outlet pipe aperture simply by engaging the male and female components of the snapping closures. Moreover, an outlet pipe closure system is also presented herein using a combination of a tongue mounted internally to one of the sides of the fabric forming the bag in a manner to be wrappable around at least a corresponding portion of the outlet pipe, and a fabric hood mounted externally and overlapping both sides of the bag at the outlet pipe aperture, which cooperates with the tongue to seal the interface between the outlet pipe and the bag when held in position.
