Abstract:
A package of disposable pants comprises a housing portion comprising a front panel comprising a front transparent window. The package further includes a plurality of disposable absorbent pants disposed within the housing portion, each pant defining a waist opening, two leg openings, a waist end, and a crotch end. At least a first pant and a second pant are positioned within the housing portion to be visible through the front transparent window, such that neither the waist end nor the crotch end of either the first pant or the second pant is visible through the front transparent window. In another embodiment, no elastically transversely gathered portions of either the first pant or the second pant are visible through the front transparent window. In another embodiment, first, second, and third pant folded heights are each approximately one-third of the height of a fourth pant.
Abstract:
Signaling systems are disclosed that indicate a change in an absorbent article, such as the presence of a body fluid. The various different signaling systems disclosed do not include any conductive elements contained on the interior of the article as were required in the past. Instead, the changes are monitored from the outer cover of the article. In one aspect, for instance, a signaling device is provided for sensing and indicating the presence of a body exudate in an absorbent article, the device including a housing and a capacitive sensor disposed within the housing, the capacitive sensor adapted to sense a change in capacitance due to an insult to the absorbent article. The signaling device can include an attachment mechanism for removably attaching the housing to the absorbent article.
Abstract:
A method is provided for manufacturing a disposable absorbent article having multiple printed components, the method including positioning a first side panel adjacent a chassis such that first side panel medial edge is adjacent the chassis lateral edge, wherein the outer cover portion and the first side panel portion of a printed band feature each have a distal edge and a proximal edge, and wherein manufacturing is controlled such that a misalignment offset of either the distal edge of the outer cover portion and the distal edge of the first side panel portion, or the proximal edge of the outer cover portion and the proximal edge of the first side panel portion, of up to 100 percent of a longitudinal height of the outer cover portion is allowable and does not result in culling the article.
Abstract:
A distinctive composite article has a package with a compartment for containing an article, and a drape. The drape has an end that is attached to an outer surface of the package. The drape is folded, and the package is folded about the drape for storage. In use, the package and then the drape are unfolded. The package may be opened to access the article(s) located within.
Abstract:
A lateral flow assay device for testing a bodily fluid, such as urine, blood, mucous, saliva, etc., is provided. The lateral flow assay device includes a chromatographic medium (e.g., porous membrane) that defines a detection zone that provides a signal indicative of the presence or amount of bilirubin or urobilinogen. The device may also include a control zone that provides a signal indicative of whether a sufficient amount of bodily fluid has been provided and tested. In one embodiment, the device is integrated into an absorbent article to provide a user or caregiver with rapid information about a health condition. For example, the device may be integrated into a diaper to provide information about the presence of bilirubin and/or urobilinogen. This information may provide an early warning system to allow the user or caregiver to seek additional testing and/or treatment. Alternatively, semi-quantitative or quantitative results may be derived from the test.
Abstract:
A kit of one or more disposable absorbent articles and a package, and in another embodiment, a package suitable for disposable absorbent articles are claimed, said package comprising secondary information, conveying to the wearer or caregiver how to apply the article and showing said article, and said article of the kit and shown on the package comprising at least primary serviceable indicium to aid the wearer or caregiver with the application of said article and to ensure proper use and optimal performance of the article.
Abstract:
An array of absorbent article products including a first absorbent article product and a second absorbent article product. The first absorbent article product includes a first absorbent article having a first benefit and is at least partially enclosed in a first package. The first absorbent article product further includes first indicia and second indicia. At least a portion of the first indicia corresponds to a first feminine aspirational state. The second absorbent article product includes a second absorbent article having a second benefit and is at least partially enclosed in a second package. The second absorbent article product further includes third indicia and fourth indicia. At least a portion of the third indicia corresponds to a second feminine aspirational state and the fourth indicia relate to the second indicia.
Abstract:
An array of disposable absorbent articles which have a first absorbent article and a second absorbent article. The first absorbent article has i.) an outer surface wherein the outer surface has an outer surface area and ii.) a first identifier having a first surface area. The first identifier is disposed on the first absorbent article and corresponds to a first absorbency. The second absorbent article has i.) an outer surface wherein the outer surface has an outer surface area and ii.) a second identifier having a second surface area. The second identifier is disposed on the second absorbent article and corresponds to a second absorbency. The first surface area of the first absorbent article is different than the second surface area of the second absorbent article.
Abstract:
An absorbent garment includes a body panel having a crotch edge and a waist edge, and first and second portions separated by a longitudinally extending line of weakness. The line of weakness extends between and terminates at the waist and crotch edges. The absorbent garment further includes a sensory cue directed at the line of weakness.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an absorbent article (101) comprising at least one c area (143). In accordance with the invention, the article (101) comprises a means (131) for checking the elongation of the elastic area (143), in conjunction with which the means (131) comprises a first indicator marker (133) connected to the elastic area (143) and a second indicator marker (134) connected to a second piece of material (135), in conjunction with which the first indicator marker (133) and the second indicator mark r (134) are capable of displacement relative to one another in the direction o elongation of the elastic area (143), whereby the change in the relative position between the first and the second indicator marker 133,134) in conjunction with the elongation of the elastic area (143) from a non-elongated position provides a measure of the elongation of the elastic area.
