The invention relates to a photopolymer formulation comprising matrix polymers, writing monomers and photo initiators, to a method for producing said photopolymer formulation, a photopolymer formulation obtained according to said method, a sheeting, a film, a layer, a layer structure or a moulded body made from said photopolymer formulation and to the use of said photopolymer formulation for producing optical elements, in particular for producing holographic elements and images.

The present invention relates to a holographic storage medium (10) comprising a recording medium (12) sandwiched between a substrate layer (14) and a super- strate layer (16), and a regular spacer arrangement (18) provided in the recording medium having optical properties different from optical properties of the recording medium, wherein the regular spacer arrangement defines at least one location in the recording medium that can be used for retrieving a position of at least one data set (24) stored in the recording medium. The present invention further relates to a method of manufacturing a holographic storage medium and to a method of reading data from a holographic storage medium.
Abstract:
A formatter (100) for inscription of marks on to a 3D translucent optical medium (101) to enable recording and retrieval of information from the medium, includes a clamping mechanism to hold the media, and at least one optical unit (103) calibrated to focus at least one diffraction limited spot within the medium at a respective depth therein. At least one light source is optimized for the inscription of marks, and at least one actuator (104) moves the spot relative to the medium.
