An appliance for conditioning a liquid made of or based on milk, in particular for preparing heated liquid and/or a cold or heated frothed liquid, comprises: a tank (10) for receiving the liquid that is to be conditioned; a closed compartment (20) secured to the tank; and an electric device (30) located therein for imparting a conditioning effect to the liquid - The compartment is made water impervious and washable under running water without infiltration thereof into the compartment containing the electric device.

The invention concerns a process of preparation of a hot coffee based beverage from a soluble coffee based beverage powder comprising the steps of : - supplying a drinking container (1), said drinking container comprising a mixing device (23) and a heating device, - introducing a dose of soluble coffee based beverage powder and a dose of diluent in the drinking container, - mixing and heating the mixture of powder and diluent, wherein said process of preparation comprises : - a first step (SI) of dissolution of the dose powder in the dose of diluent to produce the beverage, and - a second step (S2) of heating the resulting beverage, and wherein during the first step (SI) of dissolution, the mixing device is actuated and the heater is switched off, and wherein during the second step (S2) of heating, the heater is actuated and the mixing device is actuated at a speed preventing the frothing of the beverage in preparation.

A portable bottle which is motorized and magnetically linked to a mixing blade. Once the motor is activated by depressing the ON/OFF button, the magnetic attraction between the motor and the mixing blade rotates the mixing blade at the same speed. The lack of a physical shaft running through the bottle provides a completely leak-proof container. The mixing blade is also magnetically attached to the base of the bottle and is removable for easy cleaning.

The heating device comprises an agitator (4) movable in the cavity (21). The method includes the steps of: introducing the flowable food substance into the cavity (21); heating the heating surface (6) and moving the agitator (4) at an agitator speed (41,42) to generate in the cavity (21) a flow of the food substance over the heating surface (6) and in contact therewith; and disturbing the flow of the food substance to break and/or causing asymmetric flow of the food substance in the cavity (21). At a first agitator speed (41) during the heating process, the food substance is caused to flow at different first relative local speeds over the heating surface (6) that includes a first minimum speed location (61) over which the food substance flows at a first minimum speed of the different first relative local speeds. The speed of the agitator (4) is changed during the heating process to a second speed (42), the food substance being caused to flow at different second relative local speeds over the heating surface(6)that includes a second minimum speed location (62) over which the food flows at a second minimum speed of the different second relative local speeds. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass das Aufschäumelement als Förderrotor (7) ausgebildet ist, durch dessen Rotation aufgeschäumte Milch (4) durch eine, bevorzugt als Steigleitung ausgebildete, Milchschaumleitung (9) der Milchaufschäumvorrichtung (1) zu einem Auslass (10) förderbar ist.
