Abstract:
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture (e.g., physical storage media) to implement power efficient detection of watermarks in media signals are disclosed. Example watermark detection methods disclosed herein include operating a watermark detector in a first operating mode to search for a first watermark in a media signal. Such disclosed example methods also include, in response to detecting the first watermark, determining whether the first watermark satisfies a first condition. Such disclosed example methods further include, in response to determining the first watermark satisfies the first condition, operating the watermark detector in a second operating mode in which the watermark detector cycles between a sleep interval and an active interval to detect a second watermark at a second location in the media signal relative to a first location of the first watermark in the media signal.
Abstract:
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to perform block-based static region detection for video processing are disclosed. Disclosed example video processing methods include segmenting pixels in a first frame of a video sequence into a first plurality of pixel blocks. Such example methods can also include processing the first plurality of pixel blocks and a second plurality of pixel blocks corresponding to a prior second frame of the video sequence to create, based on a first criterion, a map identifying one or more static pixel blocks in the first plurality of pixel blocks. Such example methods can further include identifying, based on the map, a static region in the first frame of the video sequence.
Abstract:
Example methods, apparatus, articles of manufacture and systems for providing secondary coverage in a mobile communication system are disclosed. Example methods for a first device to provide secondary coverage in a mobile communication system include transmitting a secondary coverage signal and receiving a presence indication from a second device. Such example methods can also include reporting the presence indication to an access node of the mobile communication system. Such example methods can further include receiving information from the access node to enable relay node functionality in the first device in response to reporting the presence indication to the access node.
Abstract:
An example method disclosed herein to monitor Internet usage comprises intercepting, using a kernel extension executing in an operating system kernel of a device, a first request to be sent to a content source by a monitored client executing on the device, providing a first certificate to the client in response to intercepting the first request sent by the client to the content source, the first certificate associated with a meter that is to monitor Internet usage, sending a second request to the content source, receiving a second certificate that is associated with the content source in response to sending the second request to the content source, and obtaining a session key to decrypt encrypted traffic exchanged between the content source and the client, the session key being obtained from the client based on the first certificate and being sent to the content source based on the second certificate.
Abstract:
Image recognition methods, apparatus and articles or manufacture to support shelf auditing for consumer research are disclosed herein. An example method disclosed herein comprises comparing an input image depicting a shelf to be audited with a set of reference images depicting reference shelves displaying respective sets of reference items, identifying a first reference image from the set of reference images that has been determined to match the input image, and determining an initial audit result for the shelf depicted in the input image based on a first set of reference items associated with the first reference image.
Abstract:
Methods, apparatus and articles of manufacture to monitor streaming media content are disclosed. An example method disclosed herein to monitor streaming media content comprises extracting metering data having a first format from media content to be provided to a content presentation device via a transport stream, the extracted metering data identifying at least one of the media content or a source of the media content, the extracted metering data not being decodable by a meter associated with the content presentation device, transcoding the extracted metering data to form transcoded metering data having a second format decodable by the meter associated with the content presentation device, and encoding the transcoded metering data into a metadata channel to send the transcoded metering data to the content presentation device, the metadata channel being associated with the transport stream.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus to exchange converged address book events among multiple network domains are disclosed. An example method for a converged address book (CAB) server disclosed herein comprises detecting that a contact corresponding to a second CAB user has been added to an address book of a first CAB user, the address book being managed by the CAB server, and exchanging data between a first domain associated with the first CAB user and a second domain associated with the second CAB user to provide a notification to the second CAB user when the contact corresponding to the second CAB user is added to the address book.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus to forward documents in a communication network are disclosed. An example method to share converged address book (CAB) contact information disclosed herein comprises receiving a contact share request (2112) identifying the CAB contact information to be shared with one or more recipients (2104), the CAB contact information maintained as an extensible markup language (XML) resource, preparing an XML document command protocol (XDCP) forward request (604) to be issued to cause the XML resource to be forwarded to share the CAB contact information with the one or more recipients, the XDCP forward request specifying a uniform resource identifier (URI) corresponding to the XML resource maintaining the CAB contact information, the XDCP forward request also specifying a list of the one or more recipients, and making the XDCP forward request to cause the list of recipients to be notified (2128) that the XML resource maintaining the CAB contact information has been forwarded and is available.
Abstract:
Methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture are disclosed to improve webservers using dynamic load balancers. An example method includes identifying a first and second data object type associated with media and with first and second data objects of the media. The example method also includes enqueueing first and second event data associated with the first and second data object in a first and second queue in first circuitry in a die of programmable circuitry. The example method further includes dequeuing the first and second event data into a third and fourth queue associated with a first and second core of the programmable circuitry, the first circuitry separate from the first core and the second core. The example method additionally includes causing the first and second core to execute a first and second computing operation based on the first and second event data in the third and fourth queues.
