Abstract:
A phase contrast imaging (PCI) method in which instead of using an analyzer grid detector pixels are grouped and only a part of the total pixels are used to calculate a phase contrast image. In a second, third... step the pixels which were not used in the previous recalculation are used additionally to recalculate a second, third.... phase contrast image. Finally the different phase contrast images are fused to result in a full image.
Abstract:
A pipe-line method for multi-label segmentation of anatomic structures in a medical image by means of a convolutional neural network trained with a weighted loss function that takes into account under-representation of at least one anatomical structure in the ground-truth mask relative to other anatomical structures. Different architectures for the convolutional neural network are described.
Abstract:
Patient movement is tracked and settings of a component of radiation image recording system are adjusted so that the relative position of patient and component is retained.
Abstract:
Method and system for parallel processing of data messages in a healthcare communication network. A system and method are provided for coordinating concurrent processing of messages between computer systems over a network.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and an according apparatus and system for segmentation of anatomical structures in medical images, wherein an anatomical structure represented in a medical image is segmented by applying an algorithm based on a morphological active contour without edges (MACWE) to the medical image, wherein in the algorithm based on the morphological active contour without edges one or more features relating to a surrounding and/or context of the anatomical structure represented in the medical image are considered.
Abstract:
A system and method for compiling a clinically logical medical dossier for a patient. A list of medical conditions can be determined for the patient. A plurality of medical imaging records for the patient can be identified, and each record can be assigned to one of the conditions. A timeline of condition-specific imaging records can then be generated for each condition. A condition can be selected and the timeline of condition-specific imaging records for the selected condition can then be displayed.
Abstract:
A database search system implemented on a computer, comprising a search interface displaying a single input field configured to receive input information corresponding to at least one search parameter to be used for a search of said database, and wherein the search interface is further arranged for displaying a search result; a search priority table, storing search priority information setting out an order for searching columns in the tables of said database; a search engine configured to search said database for said input information, wherein the search engine is configured to extract one or more search results by searching the columns of the database as determined by and in the order of said search priority table, and to transmit search results immediately as they become available to the search interface for display.
Abstract:
A data processing system (1) for determining an availability speed (401) of a medical image (100), comprising: a client (20) adapted to send a request (200) for viewing said medical image (100); a server (30) adapted to provide said client (20) with said medical image (100) upon reception of said request (200); an availability determining unit (40), configured to: determine a download path (400) to be followed by said medical image (100) within said data processing system (1) in order to be made available to said client (20); retrieve configuration parameters (300) indicative for a transfer speed (301) along said download path (400); and determine said availability speed (401) of said medical image (100) from said download path (400) and from said configuration parameters (300).
Abstract:
According to an embodiments, the invention relates to a n X-ray system (800) for taking an X-ray image of an object. The system comprises an X-ray source (808), an X-ray detector (811), depth camera(s) (801 ) covering at least an area covered by an X-ray bundle and configured to obtain depth images (852) and a client device (851) comprising a display adapted to display an impression image (854) to a user. The system further comprises a controller (850) configured to derive the impression image comprising a representation of this area from the depth images; and to obtain from the client device a first geometric position correction of the X-ray imaging system with respect to this impression image; and to convert the first geometric position correction (855) to an actual geometric position configuration (853) of the X-ray imaging system by an known relation between the one or more depth cameras and the X-ray imaging system.
Abstract:
A system (100) for selecting a selected hanging protocol (201) for a medical study (1), comprising: - a memory (101) to store hanging protocols (200) and to store a credibility factor (3) for each of the hanging protocols (200); - a selection engine (102) adapted to combine a calculated matching score (2) between each of the hanging protocols (200) and the medical study (1) with the credibility factor (3), thereby defining a relevance score (4) for each of the hanging protocols (200), and to select the hanging protocol with the highest relevance score (40) as the selected hanging protocol (201).
