Abstract:
The drilling boom (500) of the drilling rig according to the invention has a first end (512) and a second end (509), and the second end is during use of the drilling rig toward the drilling direction, a slide (514), which is moveable along the drilling boom, which slide has a rotation unit (508) and catch jaws and at least two power means (502, 511) for moving the slide. The power means are attached to the slide either directly or by means of a transmission mechanism. A pipe line set by the drilling pipe and straight lines set by the power means are substantially at the same plane. The pipe line is between the straight lines set by the power means, dividing the level into a first part and a second part, and the intrinsic values of the moment M1 caused by the power means in the first part and the moment M2 caused by the power means in the second part are substantially of the same magnitude. The plane tilts towards the direction of the drilling rig, where the drilling pipe is handled. The straight lines set by the power means set a plane, and the pipe line is at this plane or placed so in relation to this plane that the moments caused by the power means behave in the above-described way. The power means can be hydraulic cylinders, wherein the parts are arranged to move so that the total length of the power means changes.
Abstract:
A pipe thrusting apparatus for inserting and removing a pipe from a borehole, comprising a collar configured to releasably grip the pipe; a support frame having at least one anchor securable to the ground; and a bi-directional driver coupled between the collar and the support frame, the driver configured to drive the collar toward and away from the borehole to insert and remove the pipe from the borehole.
Abstract:
A drill rig (10) comprises a drill tower (12), rotation head (14) and drill table (16). Drill tower (12) is in the form of a rectangular box frame (18) and is of fixed length. Rotation head (14) provides torque to a drill string used for drilling a hole and is supported on and linearly traversable along drill tower (12). Drill rig traverse system (20) provides pull back and pull down force to the rotation head (14) enabling the rotation head (14) to traverse along drill tower (12) and controlling contact force between the drill bit and toe of a hole being drilled. Traverse system (20) comprises the combination of a hydraulic ram traverse system (22) which provides both pull back and pull down force; and a winch pull back system (24) which provides pull back only. A winch (60) of winch pull back system (24) is supported on the tower (12). Both hydraulic ram traverse system (22) and winch pull back system (24) can traverse the rotation head for the full length of the tower (12) when simultaneously applying pull back to the rotation head.(14)
Abstract:
The invention concerns a drill rig 10, 70, 100 which includes an extendable thrust cylinder 14 and an extendable clamping cylinder 12. The clamping cylinder 12 is used for clamping the drill rig between a floor and hanging wall of a mine working. To ensure that the drill rig is compact, the clamping cylinder 12 is mounted inside the thrust cylinder 14. The drill rig further includes a drill carriage 24 which is slidably connected with respect to the thrust cylinder 14 and moveable in a carriage movement direction substantially parallel to the axes of extension and contraction of the cylinders 12, 14. The carriage 24 is configured to carry a drill in use. A flexible, mechanical coupling 26 is provided between the drill carriage 24 and the thrust cylinder 14 so that extension and contraction of the thrust cylinder causes the drill carriage to move in the drill carriage movement direction. The mechanical coupling 26 is configured to provide an amplitude advantage so that the distance of travel of the drill carriage 24, and hence of a drill carried by the drill carriage in use, is greater than the extension of the thrust cylinder 14.

Abstract:

Well bore servicing equipment is provided. The well bore servicing equipment comprises a first manipulator (20) to grip a well bore work string (152), to raise the work string, and to lower the work string. The well bore servicing equipment further comprises a controller (10) to receive a work string trajectory input and to automatically control the first manipulator (20) to raise and lower the work string (152) substantially in conformance with the work string trajectory input.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an arrangement for employing a drill steel centralizer (6) travelling on a feed beam (1) of a rock drill machine (2). The drill steel centralizer (6) has a pressure fluid-operated actuator for closing a transfer opening intended for a drill rod (4) during drilling, whereby pressure fluid is fed into the actuator during drilling.
