The invention is characterised in that the reflecting means change shape when the reservoir temperature varies.
Abstract:
A system and method for rejuvenating skin through ablation using a handheld device (200) having a removable treatment component (213) with an abrasive material on one surface of the component which surface is on a portion of the treatment component (213) configured to conform to a skin surface. The system further includes application of other elements to facilitate skin recovery and rejuvenation processes.
Abstract:
A dual ended hair remover which includes a casing having a motor, an epilating head for plucking hairs from the skin of a user attached to one end of the casing, a depilating head for cutting the hairs from the skin of the user attached to the other end of the casing, and a handle which covers on of the epilating and depilating heads while providing power to the other one of the epilating and depilating heads. The handle fits over one or the other end of the casing and provides power to the head which is not covered. The handle may also simultaneously provide power to the head which is covered. The handle protects the user and the unused head by covering the unused head and provides power to at least the head which is in use. Further, by incorporating the epilating and depilating heads on the casing at the same time and at opposite ends, ease of use is obtained. Still further, in the instances that only the head which is in use is being driven, power conservation is achieved.

The invention concerns an appliance (1) for heating a fluid, comprising a reservoir (5) temporarily coupled to a base (2), said reservoir (5) being designed to contain said fluid to be heated; means (10) for heating said reservoir (5); means for controlling (17) said heating means (10) including a temperature sensor (20) capable of generating an information representing the temperature of the fluid to be heated, said temperature sensor comprising: means for transmitting (21) an electromagnetic wave beam; means for reflecting (22) said beam; means for receiving (23) said reflected beam, the transmitting (21) and the receiving (22) means being located on the base (2) of the appliance, and the reflecting means (22) being located on the reservoir (5), opposite said transmitting (21) and receiving (22) means. The invention is characterised in that the reflecting means change shape when the reservoir temperature varies.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an accessory for an epilation device (1) for removing hair from human skin, said device having a housing (2) which can be held in the hand of the user and an epilating head (4) comprising tweezer elements (6) that can be displaced in relation to each other and to the skin, for gripping and plucking the hairs. The accessory has an element for thermally treating the skin and can be displaced independently of the epilation device. The thermal treatment element (11) is provided in a retaining device (10), designed to be held in the hand of the user.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device for removing hair, especially superfluous face hair, said device comprising a helical spring (1) that consists of a thread wound in a helicoidal manner to a tension spring and means (3) for receiving the ends of the helical spring (1). It is significant for the device according to the present invention that the means for receiving the ends of the helical spring (1) constitute handles (3) that are arranged at respective ends of the helical spring (1), said handles (3) having an extension in the longitudinal direction of the helical spring (1).
Abstract:
The invention concerns an appliance for removing body hair comprising a roller (5) mounted rotatable in a housing (1) designed to be hand-held, said roller comprising at least two tweezers (5a, 5b) designed to squeeze and pull out hairs, the roller being adapted to be driven in rotation by an electric motor (8) via a transmission system (12). More particularly, the invention is characterised in that the assembly formed by the roller, the transmission system and the motor is divided into two parts, each part being integral with a support (11a, 11b) mounted floating relative to the housing and being driven in vibration at a predetermined frequency, the vibration frequency of one of the parts being in one hundred and eighty degree phase shift relative to the other part.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a hair remover for removing body hair comprising a roller (1) mounted rotating in a housing (20) designed to be hand-held, said roller comprising at least two tweezers (7, 8) designed to grip and pull out the hairs, the roller (1) being capable of being driven in rotation by an electric motor (12) via a transmission system (10); the motor (12), the transmission system 810) and the roller (1) forming an assembly mounted in the housing (20) of the appliance via elastic means (24). The assembly comprises at least a component (18), mounted in such a way that, when it is actuated by the motor, it generates vibrations in said assembly reaching up to the rotary roller (1).
Abstract:
A marker substance includes a photosensitive toxic material to tag subcutaneous hair growth cells of a target zone of skin. Illumination apparatus is used to illuminate the skin in the target zone with light of a wavelength selected to effect preferential interaction with the hair growth cells tagged with the marker substance, resulting in a toxic effect inhibiting the hair growth capability of the tagged illuminated cells; wherein. In the kit the marker substance may be provided in a form comprising discrete portions of the photosensitive toxic material and a carrier material, the portions to be mixed prior to application to the target zone. Additionally or alternatively, the illumination apparatus includes an applicator configured to deliver non-laser light and/or configured to be placed against the target zone skin to deliver the illumination to the tagged hair growth cells.
