Abstract:
A linear adjustment operator for pressure control of paint pumps including a base, an electrical switch, a linear actuator, a spring biasing the switch towards the actuator and a lever acting on the actuator for repositioning the actuator with the switch positioned within a range of angular positions to set a desired pressure for the pump by the position of the lever. A slide operator in a bezel is coupled to the lever for adjustment by a user, with plastically deformable parts in interengagement between the operator and bezel to retain the setting selected.
Abstract:
The sprayer of this invention is a crossbreed that combines the benefits of a pressurized air sprayer with the convenience a common bottle-top trigger sprayer. However, activating the trigger now has a reverse action causing the related pump to ingest air and the pump's traditional flow direction is now reversed. Air is passed into a reinforced reservoir bottle, near the top, similar to a pressurized air sprayer. Multiple hand-trigger pulls are used to pre-pressurize air into the reservoir's chamber. A second conduit starting within and near the bottom of the reservoir utilizes air pressure to transfer product within the reservoir to a dispensing-valve. A means is provided to operate the dispensing-valve, which is able to dispense product continuously in-between compression strokes.
Abstract:
An assembly for effecting a quick connect of a flexible fluid delivery tube to a rigid dip tube for a liquid sprayer is provided. The assembly is mounted to a container of chemical liquid to be sprayed by a closure cap having a depending annular wall defining a cavity into which an adaptor for the delivery tube extends and is snap fitted in place by the provision of a retention feature coacting between a nipple of the adaptor and the annular wall. A vent port located in the annular wall in the vicinity of the coacting retention feature with an air gap provided between the vent port and the upper surface of the closure end wall. Alternatively, the vent port is located in the end wall of the closure. A cover is provided for sealing closed both the inlet opening from the container and the vent port in a condition of non-use.
Abstract:
A trigger-actuated cleaning device (1) dispenses an aerosol cleaning agent from a pressurized canister (5). The canister has a female valve assembly (802). In one form an over cap (500') fits onto the canister (5) over the valve and has a male stem (600) on a pivotable part of the over cap (500') that opens the valve when moved by a rod (208) linked to a remote trigger (412). The stem (600) is either formed integrally with the over cap (500') or is removably attached to a stem socket (700) formed in the over cap (500'). In another form the actuator is a button (900) having a stem (902) that fits in the female valve (802).
Abstract:
A dispenser can automatically dispense chemical from an aerosol container at predetermined intervals without the use of electric power. A diaphragm at least partially defines an accumulation chamber that receives chemical from the can during an accumulation phase. Once the internal pressure of the accumulation chamber reaches a predetermined threshold, the diaphragm moves, carring with it valving that controls a spray burst. The diaphragm assumes its original position when the pressure within the accumulation chamber falls below a threshold pressure. A barrier prevents the aerosol container from resuppling the accumulation chamber at a high rate during the spray phase, preferably due to a porous gasket disposed in a passageway linking the dispenser to the aerosol container.
Abstract:
According to the invention there is provided dispensing means having a housing 16 and a spray dispenser 13, the housing 16 having a first part and a second part, the housing being formed such that when it is in use the first part can be secured to a building construction above ground level such that the second part faces away from the first part, there being a space within the housing, the spray dispenser 13 adapted for detachably fitting to the housing within the space, the spray dispenser having a spray emitting portion 14 and a spray material storage portion 15, the spray emitting portion 14 and the spray material storage portion 15 being detachable with respect to one another, the dispensing means being formed such that when it is operational the spray dispenser 13 can, from substantially within the housing 16, automatically release a spray of the spray material to an area outside of the housing.
Abstract:
An injection valve device of an aerosol type injector, wherein a tube part (23) is provided at the lower part of a stem (22) and a slidably contacting projected part (23a) is formed on the inner peripheral surface of the tube part, an adjusting member (14) is stored in the large diameter part (12) of a housing (10), the center axis part (17) of the adjusting member is inserted into the tube part (23), and the tube part is stored in the housing, a vertical groove (17a) is provided in the center axis part, the slidably contacting projected part (23a) is pressed against the portion of the center axis part having the vertical groove, and a recessed part (17b) is provided in the lower part of the vertical groove so that, when a stem (22) is pressed strongly, the slidingly contacting projected part (23a) can come into the recessed part (17b) with an allowance, whereby the amount of injection can be increased and decreased by the degree of depression of the stem without deteriorating the controllability by the wobble of the stem, making unstable the amount of injection, or noticeably deteriorating an assemblage.
