본 발명은 무선 접속 시스템에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세히는 다중 안테나 환경에서 전송 랭크를 고려하여 상향링크 전송 전력을 제어하는 방법 및 그를 수행하기 위한 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 복수의 전송 랭크를 지원하는 송신단에서 상향링크 데이터 채널의 전송전력 제어를 수행하는 방법은, 특정 서브프레임에서의 전송 랭크에 종속되는 적어도 하나의 랭크 변수를 이용하여 제 1 전송 전력을 결정하는 단계; 기 설정된 최대 전송 전력인 제 2 전송 전력과 상기 결정된 제 1 전송 전력을 비교하는 단계; 및 상기 비교 결과 적은 값을 상기 데이터 채널의 전송전력으로 결정하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.

Abstract:
The return channel in a multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) communication system is used to provide signal information on an individual- channel basis. In one embodiment, in a controlled factory environment, this information may be used to incrementing up or down the variable gain amplifier and/or the power amplifier of a MIMO transmitter and/or receiver so as to generate a default signal power offset to be used during normal operation. Thereafter, such signal information may similarly be provided via the return channel and used to further adjust the transmit parameters to account for location-specific signal conditions.

The present invention is a method and system for controlling downlink transmission power levels in a spread spectrum time division communications system having frames with time slots for communication, which receives at a user equipment (UE) a downlink communication from a base station and determines an error rate of the received communication. The UE then produces power level adjustments for each of the time slots based in part on the error rate and transmits an uplink communication to the base station which includes the power level. In response to the power level adjustments and(or) other information, transmission power level is set for each time slot in the downlink communication.

The network part of the radio system is arranged to produce the transmission power of a transmission to a terminal timeslot-specifically such that the power ratio of the transmission power of a radio transmission to the terminal in each timeslot and the interference power caused by transmissions to other terminals exceeds a threshold value preset on the power ratio in the timeslot.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide method and apparatus for EIRP-constrained communication. A method performed by a network device comprises determining a first power back-off value for a transmission of a signal based on an effective isotropic radiated power (EIRP) limit. The method further comprises determining a second power back-off value for a transmission of a channel based on the EIRP limit. The method further comprises transmitting the signal to a terminal device based on the first power back-off value. The method further comprises receiving a channel state information report from the terminal device. The method further comprises estimating a channel quality of the transmission of the channel based on the channel state information report, the first power back-off value and the second power back-off value.
