Abstract:
A controls stage, a hopper stage, and a pneumatic stage are arranged to govern the movement of particulate additives from a hopper through a receptacle that communicates with a delivery tube with the particles exiting the delivery tube via an outlet and contacting products or commodities such as food products. Embodiments include those wherein the use of air flow through the delivery tube is responsible for ushering particulate additives out of the delivery tube, with or without a secondary air flow to facilitate movement of particulate additives into the delivery tube, and a notched disc controlling the opening and closing of a valve to allow or restrict particulates from passing, wherein the size and quantity of notches affects the frequency at which particulate additives move from the hopper into the delivery tube.

Dispositif de transfert d'une poudre donnée ou d'un mélange de poudres données contenu dans un conteneur (2) comportant un paroi latérale (8) et au moins un orifice de vidange (6), le conteneur (2) de forme axisymétrique d'axe de révolution (X) étant disposé dans le dispositif de transfert de sorte que son orifice de vidange (6) soit situé dans une partie inférieure dudit conteneur (2), le dispositif de transfert comportant des moyens de déplacement en rotation (12) du conteneur (2) autour de son axe (X) sur lequel se situe l'orifice de vidange (6) et des moyens de commande (CU) des moyens de déplacement en rotation (12) tels que les moyens de déplacement en rotation (12) imposent à au moins une partie de la paroi latérale (8) du conteneur, dite partie mobile, une première phase de déplacement dans laquelle une accélération supérieure ou égale à une accélération minimale est apte à provoquer le glissement de la poudre par rapport à la partie mobile.

Um ein Silosystem (100) zur Lagerung, Transport, Förderung und Entleerung von Schüttgut (10) derart weiter zu verbessern, dass eine Brückenbildung, Verklebung und Verhakelung des Schüttguts (10) auch ohne das Vorsehen von zusätzlichen Klopfern oder Vibratoren vermieden werden kann und das Silosystem(100) gleichzeitig auch zur Dosierung von Schüttgut (10() verwendet werden kann, wird vorgeschlagen, im Bereich einer in der Seitenwand (14) angeordneten Auslassöffnung (15) ein in einen Innenraum (18) des Silosystems (100) ragendes Entleerungsmittel (17) anzuordnen, welches dazu ausgebildet ist, das Schüttgut (10) zur Auslassöffnung (15) hinzuleiten.

The present invention relates to a process for depositing particulate material in a predetermined pattern onto a moving surface comprising the steps of: feeding the particulate material under gravity from a hopper to a discharge zone containing an feed opening; supplying a gas under pressure to the bulk of particulate material within the hopper discharge zone; transferring the particulate material through the feed opening to the surface of a transfer device, wherein the outer surface of the transfer device contains a pattern of particulate-receiving recesses; rotating the transfer device to a deposition zone and transferring the particulate material to a carrier layer. The present invention further relates to an apparatus comprising: a hopper comprising a discharge zone, the discharge zone comprising a feed opening, and wherein the discharge zone further comprises a gas supply assembly to supply gas under pressure into particulate material within the discharge zone; a transfer device adjacent to the feed opening, wherein the outer surface of the transfer device contains a pattern of particulate-receiving recesses.
