Methods and apparatus are disclosed for removing catalyst, absorbents and other materials from a reactor, guard bed, or other refinery or petrochemical vessel via a robotic or remotely operated device. A vacuum hose is connected to the device for removing the material from the vessel for ex-situ regeneration or disposal. The device moves around on the surface of the catalyst using motorized screws that grip to the catalyst material. The device is powered by hydraulic, pneumatic or electric motors attached to the frame of the device with supply and return hoses extending in and out of the vessel in line with the vacuum hose.

In dem folgenden Schritt (b) wird die vertikale Trennwand so weit nach oben verschoben, dass ihr unterer Rand noch in der vorhandenen Schüttung steckt. Dann wird auf jeder Seite der Trennwand je eines der beiden Adsorbentien bis zu einer zweiten Höhe eingefüllt, die den oberen Rand der verschobenen Trennwand nicht überschreitet. The nylon salt solution is formed continuously and has low variability from a target pH and/or a target salt solution concentration. The nylon salt solution is transferred directly to a storage tank, without further monomer addition, pH adjustment, or salt solution adjustment after exiting the continuous stirred tank reactor.

The first feeding channel is slanted upwards from an input towards the second feeding channel. The speed of the second conveyor unit driven by the second motor (4) is preset depending on the material to be pyrolysed. A material compression related feature in the second feeding means (6) is detected by a sensing arrangement (60), and detected current values are used for controlling the first driving motor (2) to obtain a substantially constant or desired degree of compression in the second feeding means (6).
