Abstract:
The invention relates to a loudspeaker, which contains bearing structure, a magnetic arrangement (12) fixed to the bearing structure, determining air-gaps (13), and a diaphragm connected to the bearing structure, made of a sheet material. The diaphragm has the shape of a cylindrical jacket consisting of segments (10), the segments (10) are connected to each other along delimiting lines running in the direction of the generating lines, and they have a surface the curvature of which is larger than the curvature that belongs to the overall radius of the cylindrical jacket-like shape, there is a flap (11) at least along two delimiting lines, which flaps (11) extend into an air-gap (13) each radially, and the diaphragm is connected to the bearing structure with flexible supporting units joining the flaps (11) and allowing radial movement of the flaps (11) in the air-gap (13).
Abstract:
A loudspeaker comprises a voice coil and a diaphragm attached to the voice coil. The diaphragm has a generally rectangular outer shape, and comprises an outer rim (A1) having an outer edge at which the diaphragm is fixed in position and an inner section (A0) within the outer rim. The inner section (A0) comprises: an outermost area (A00) which is coupled to the voice coil and having the same generally rectangular outer shape; and an inner area (A01) comprising a periodic rib structure (A01p), with the ribs running parallel to the shorter side of the rectangular outer shape, and two lateral transition areas (A01c) between the edges of the periodic rib structure (A01p) and the shorter side edges of outermost area (A00).
Abstract:
A loudspeaker radiating diaphragm can be stiffened to help increase the breakup frequency to above the working frequency range of the driver concerned, by forming it of a moulded part and an attached formed part. The moulded part is a radiating surface with stiffening ribs. The formed part is a thin surface of high modulus material, attached to the rear of the ribs. The overall structure can have significantly higher stiffness than either of the two parts. This helps in designing a loudspeaker driver that does not breakup within its working frequency range.
Abstract:
A microphone is formed to have a diaphragm that is configured to improve signal to noise ratio. To that end, the microphone has a backplate having a hole therethrough, and a diaphragm movably coupled with the backplate. The diaphragm has a bottom surface (facing the backplate) with a convex portion aligned with the hole in the backplate.
Abstract:
A membrane (20) has a membrane axis (5) and a middle area (50), a central cup-shaped depression (52) being provided around said membrane axis (5), which depression (52) preferably has a connecting channel (53), wherein the middle area (50) comprises groups of stiffening grooves (54, 55, 56, 57) which extend parallel to radial directions and of which a first group of long stiffening grooves (54, 55, 56) extends up to the depression (52), said connecting channel (53) issuing into two of the long stiffening grooves (55, 56), thus interconnecting these two long stiffening grooves (55, 56).
