Offenbart ist unter anderem ein Siebsystem (10), welches enthält: mindestens einen ersten im Wesentlichen ringförmigen Siebträger (11) und einen zweiten im Wesentlichen ringförmigen Siebträger (12); mindestens eine Druckstange (14), welche die Siebträger (11, 12) derart miteinander verspannt, dass eine Druckspannung zwischen den Siebträgern (11, 12) entsteht; mindestens eine im Wesentlichen zylindermantelförmige Siebfläche (13), welche zwischen den Siebträgern (11, 12) eingespannt ist;mindestens einen Resonator (15) zum Einleiten von Ultra- schallschwingungen direkt in die Siebfläche (13). Der Resonator ist (15) an der Siebfläche (13) befestigt ist und erstreckt sich im Wesentlichen vom ersten Siebträger (11) zum zweiten Siebträger (12). Weiterhin offenbart sind eine Wirbelstromsiebmaschine und eine Verwendung eines Siebsystems (10) oder einer Wirbelstromsiebmaschine.

Acoustic Apparatus and Operation A portable acoustic warning device which projects a specific acoustic waveform towards a target, creating a narrow beam of sound that is highly selective, minimising exposure to users and bystanders, whilst enabling a controlled dosage of sound to be applied to the target. The design of the device is tailored to this waveform thus achieving a very high degree of directivity. It is not intended for communicating verbal messages. This waveform achieves maximum intensity at the target whilst using a relatively low sound pressure level; meaning that the exposure levels can be controlled to ensure they are within existing health and safety legislation. A laser range finder limits the sound level at the target to a pre- determined level. An integrated camera is used to aid aiming. Video footage is recorded with use; along with the sound level at the target, exposure duration, time, date and GPS coordinates.

The display may also indicate simultaneously the maximum wading depth calculated according to the ride height of the vehicle, the inclination of the vehicle by inclination of the displayed elevation, and an advisory speed according to wading depth and/or vehicle inclination.

The invention relates to control instrumentation and can be used for defectoscopy, structurescopy and thicknessmetry, in particular for inspecting coarse-structure and heterogeneous materials such as concrete, plastics and formations. The inventive low frequency composition converter provided with a mode switch comprises a body, damping fluid, a pressure lid, first and second elements of a piezoelectric cell, a protector embodied in the form of a cone or a pyramid, and a commutator for the elements of the piezoelectric cell. The elements of a piezoelectric cell are electrically isolated from each other, the outlets thereof being connected to the ports of the commutator which enables said outlets to be connected to the outlets of the converter by connecting them inphasely and antiphasely in order to produce the emission of longitudinal and transversal ultrasound waves, respectively, and also for the reception thereof. The top of the protector embodied in the form of a cone or a pyramid is provided with a bit made of a material harder than the material of the remaining part of said protector or of an elastic material. Said invention makes it possible to extend the functionality and the scope of the converter by simplifying the structure design and improving the electroacoustic characteristics thereof.

The invention relates to an acoustic transducer for broad-band loudspeakers or magnet-free, electrodynamic headphones for generating sound, especially for the use in the homogenous and/or inhomogeneous magnetic field of a magnetic resonance tomograph. According to the advantages of the invention, sound having defined characteristics can be generated in such a way that said sound is provided with good quality and high effectiveness within the strong magnetic field of a magnetic resonance tomograph. In addition to music and voice, this comprises the generation of sound for actively controlling noise by generating sound by means of one or several membranes (1) that form air pockets. Said membranes (1) consist of elastic, non-magnetic or slightly magnetic material and are connected to strip conductors (2) in a two-dimensional and solid manner. A Lorentz force which is caused by the magnetic field of the magnetic resonance tomograph is exerted on said strip conductors as the driving power when current flows.

The invention relates to underwater acoustic transducers for emitting a low-frequency broadband acoustic signal. The inventive transducer consists of a cylinder-shaped cap (105) which is closed at one end and open at the other. A piezoelectric plate (101) which operates by bending is fixed on the base of this cylinder, outside of the same. The inner cavity (106) defined by the cylinder is freely open towards the outer medium in which the acoustic waves are emitted and makes it possible to reduce the central frequency and increase the bandwidth while maintaining identical dimensions.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen akustischer Sensor (1), umfassend ein Trägerelement (2), ein Membranelement (3), welches auf einer ersten Seite des Trägerelements (2) angeordnet ist, und einen elektroakustischen Wandler (4), der auf einer dem Trägerelement (2) zugewandten Seite (4a) des Membranelementes (3) angeordnet ist, und dazu eingerichtet ist, zumindest einen Bereich des Membranelements (3) zu einer Schwingung anzuregen, wobei das Membranelement (3) an zumindest einem Randbereich (5) einen Halterungsbereich (6) aufweist, der sich in Richtung des Trägerelements (2) erstreckt und einen Teilbereich (7) des Trägerelements (2) umgreift.
