Abstract:
The invention is a joint cover assembly for covering a gap adjacent an edge of a panel that covers a sub-surface, and a method of covering such a gap. The assembly can be manipulated to form an end molding, a T-molding, a hard surface reducer, a carpet reducer, and/or a stair nose molding. A kit can include the joint cover assembly an a tool for forming a flooring transition from a generic element having break-away sections.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The architectural molding longitudinal groove (50) is a specialty architectural molding trim assembly that includes a longitudinal groove (50) milled along at least one edge in contact with a wall (W). Where applicable, grooves (50) are milled on two or more molding edges. The groove (50) may be provided on window and door casings, baseboard (10) trim boards, chair rail, quarter round, plinth blocks, rosettes, crown molding, and the like. Additionally, the aforementioned architectural molding is not limited to any particular material, but may be created in a number of different types of materials. The longitudinal groove (50) may be applied to wood, plastic, metal, ceramic, natural stone, different composites and manufactured materials. The milled longitudinal groove (50) eliminates the necessity of using masking tape, a painter's straight edge, or extreme care to keep paint off of moldings while painting walls and ceilings.
Abstract:
A wall angle (10) and main runner for use in installing a suspended ceiling grid structure within a walled enclosure (12), the grid structure including a plurality of main grid runners and hanger wires suspending he main runners from an overhead support of the room enclosure. The wall angle (10) includes an elongated body defining, in cross section, an angled profile with a first side (16) and a second interconnecting and extending side (18). A measurement indicia scheme is placed in an incrementing manner (24-30) along the first side and in a correspondingly decrementing manner (32-40) along the second side, such that the elongated body is reversible to illustrate a selected incrementing/decrementing indicia scheme along either extending side. The main runner (286) exhibits an elongated body with a first end (288, 290, 292) and a second end (294, 296) and an indicia scheme is placed along the main body at 1" intervals between the first and second ends.
Abstract:
A fillet system for joining floorings, especially parquet floorings, consisting of a transition fillet, a backing anchor fillet, as well as boits and spacer pins, further comprises a backing anchor fillet (2) to be anchored in the subfloor, provided with openings (6) for the anchor bolts (3) and openings (8) for the headless connecting bolts (5), and a transition fillet (1), provided with openings and/or recesses (4) accommodating the headless connecting bolts (5) for connecting to the backing anchor fillet (2).
Abstract:
A window shutter frame for attaching window shutters to a wall comprising an elongate frame base (50) having a first length, a top surface, a bottom surface, and a first longitudinal axis, the top surface having a mounting channel with a first width (55), the mounting channel extending parallel to the first longitudinal axis of the frame base (50) along the entire first length of the frame base (50), the mounting channel having a base surface and a first side surface (53) and a second side surface (54), the base surface of the mounting channel having one or more mounting points through which fasteners (32) may be disposed; and an elongate concealing strip (51) for insertion into the mounting channel having a second width, a second length, and a second longitudinal axis, the second width of the concealing strip (51) being approximately equal to the first width of the mounting channel.
Abstract:
Especially shaped bendable section with one or two segmented surfaces running lengthwise and essentially made up of a sequence of rectangular and/or trapezoidal elements or tongues to which, depending on the section being U, C or double-C shaped, one or two flat laminar elements (13) or (13") are coupled so that they are positioned alternatively between the internal face of one tongue and the external face of the following one, thus connecting the tongues into forming a virtually continuous wall, so that when the section is forced into a certain shape involving a curve or a series of curves, element (13) or elements (13") bend into the same shape which can be fixed and held once elements (13) or (13") are riveted or punched to the section's segmented walls. The invention to be used in building single or double curve false-ceilings, curved walls, interior finishing, domes, etc.
Abstract:
Moulding strip, preferably a moulding strip for use in the transition between a floor covering and a wall, which floor covering consists of floor elements provided with a decor. Decor comprises a number of decor elements with intermediate demarcations which demarcations are arranged at a predetermined mutual distance A. The moulding strip is provided with a decor which comprises a number of decor elements with intermediate demarcations. The demarcations are arranged at a mutual distance A' whereby A = A' +/-(0,1 x A), preferably is A = A' +/-(0.05 x A), most preferably A = A' +/-(0.005 x A).
Abstract:
There is provided a guide strip (1) to assist in cement rendering around window frames and like openings. The strip (1) is the combination of two longitudinally extending portions (2, 3) joined in side-by-side relationship by a frangible part (4). The base strip (2) being one of these portions, is to be left in-situ within the render and has a render depth setting lip (6) extending from one side thereof alongside the frangible part (4). The window frame masking portion (3), being the remaining portion, can then be longitudinally snapped leaving only the base strip (2) embedded in the render. The strip (1) includes a connection means such as a ribbon 9 of double-sided adhesive to secure the base strip (2) to the window frame (12) prior to rendering.
Abstract:
Sized and shaped attachments made of suitable materials and having a predetermined thickness for straightening and replacing studs, joists and rafters, squaring of openings and for aligning a plurality of the studs, joists and rafters in the framing for a building to provide a planar application surface to which exterior finishing members can be affixed. The attachments have sized and spaced openings thereon operatively associated by frictional engagement with fastening members each having a slidable member thereon to enable the attachments or devices to be adjustably fastened to a given stud, joist or rafter so a plurality of such adjusted attachments or any replacement attachments can be aligned with each other to provide the planar application surface. Methods are provided to align a multiplicity of adjoining studs, joists or rafters, to square and to square and align openings with such attachments to provide the planar application surfaces.
