A set (1) of tiles (5) adapted to cover a surface (10) perpendicular to a thickness direction (V), each of the tiles comprising a core layer (22), the set comprising: - at least one first tile (15) having a first edge (26) extending in a longitudinal direction (L), the core layer of the first tile defining a connecting groove (30) in the first edge, - at least one second tile (20) having a second edge (28) extending in the longitudinal direction (L), the core layer of second tile defining a connecting tongue (34) protruding from the second edge, the connecting tongue being adapted to be received into the connecting groove in a locked configuration. The connecting groove is delimited in the thickness direction by an upper contact surface (52) and a lower contact surface (54), the lower contact surface being on the same side as the surface to be covered, and the upper contact surface being on the opposite side to the surface with respect to the connecting tongue in the thickness direction. The core layer of the first tile defines at least one longitudinal recess (56) in one of the upper contact surface, the lower contact surface, or corresponding contact surfaces (52A, 4A) of the connecting tongue, and the first tile or the second tile further comprises a rod (27) fixed on a wall (58) of the recess, the rod having a chemical composition distinct from a chemical composition of said wall. The present invention relates to a carpet backing layer composition, comprising: -100 parts by weight of a polyolefin or a blend of polyolefins and optionally a blend of oils, wax and tackifiers, said polyolefin or polyolefin blend comprising at least 0% by weight of (co)polymerized C3 –C8 alfa-olefins -between 100 and 900 parts by weight of one or more inorganic filler(s) characterized by a volume median particle diameter (D50) comprised between 10 and 1000 µm; -the backing layer composition having a heat of fusion within the temperature range of from 10 to 40°C (ΔH 10→40°C ) that is less than 12.5% of the heat of fusion of the backing layer within the temperature range of from 10 to 170°C (ΔH 10→170°C ), the heat of fusion being measured by Differential Scanning Calorimetry.. A method of producing a decorative surface covering comprises generating one or more synthetic images. The generation of these images includes arranging local prototype motifs characteristic of a material to be mimicked in a random manner and generating or preserving continuity between the local prototype motifs in such a way as to yield globally an appearance of the material to be mimicked, digitally printing one or more synthetic images on a printing substrate, and assembling the printing substrate with one or more backing layers and/or one or more transparent top layers so as to form the decorative surface covering.
