    Abstract: Provided are methods for prognosing a clinical outcome in a subject or diagnosing the subject with high-risk or stable smoldering multiple myeloma (SMM), comprising determining a 3D telomeres organization signature of a test sample from the subject, the test sample comprising plasma cells, applying a classification model to the 3D telomeres organization signature to obtain an output classification that is indicative of the clinical outcome or diagnosis of the subject. Also provided are methods for treating a subject with high-risk or stable SMM.

    Abstract: A ring cutter for transecting a ring trapped on an appendage. The ring cutter includes a body, a motor housed in the body, a blade drivingly connected to the motor, a guard coupled to the body, a guard actuator drivingly connected to the guard and controlling a movement of the guard, a current sensor positioned to sense electrical current associated with the motor, and a processor communicatively coupled to the current sensor and the guard actuator. The blade has a rotation axis and a peripheral cutting edge. The guard is insertable between the ring and the appendage to position the ring between the guard and the blade. The processor is configured to: i) receive, from the current sensor, an electrical current reading associated with the motor, and ii) transmit, to the guard actuator, one or more commands to control the movement of the guard based on the electrical current reading.

    Abstract: Systems, methods and devices for controlling the growth of a plant are described herein. The systems include a photonic sensor and a computing device communicatively coupled to the photonic sensor. The photonic sensor includes an excitation pulse generator configured to generate an excitation pulse of light and direct it towards a target area of a plant. The sensor also includes a lens configured to receive fluorescent light from the target area of the plant and direct the fluorescent light to a focal point, a plurality of optical filters, each being configured to selectively transmit a selected wavelength range of the fluorescent light, the selected wavelength range indicating a molecular activity of the plant, and a photodiode configured to determine an intensity of the selected wavelength range of fluorescent light and convert the measured intensity to a digital signal to be transmitted as molecular activity data to the computing device.

    Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for cutting a workpiece are described herein. The systems include a clamp having an elongate body having a top surface, a bottom surface, a first end and a second end, the elongate body being positioned above the workpiece and below a motor of the saw; a first connector configured to secure the first end of the elongate body to the base at a first side of the base; and a second connector configured to secure the second end of the elongate body to the base at a second side of the base. The first connector and the second connector provide for the clamp to move between a raised position where the elongate body is coupled to the base and disengaged from a top surface of the workpiece and a lowered position where the elongate body is coupled to the base and presses down on the top surface of the workpiece and secures the workpiece against the upper surface of the base when the workpiece is positioned between the first connector and the second connector.

    Abstract: A method of forming a hollow article includes injecting a first molding material into a first mold cavity at a first injection pressure to form a first molded shell and injecting a second molding material into a second mold cavity at a second injection pressure to form a second molded shell. The first molded shell has a first peripheral edge, and the second molded shell has a second peripheral edge. The method includes positioning the first shell and second shell into facing relation with the first and second peripheral edges in a third cavity, and injecting a third molding material into the third cavity at a third injection pressure to bond together the first and second shells along the first and second peripheral edges to form the hollow article. The third injection pressure is less than the first injection pressure by at least about 3.5 bar.
