A hidden cochlear implant system for an ear that comprises a canal unit and an implanted unit. An additional internal receiving antenna is provided that configured to be implanted under a skin on a mastoid bone, and to receive electrical energy from an external power source transmitter by an external transmitting antenna as well as the data from a modulator by the external transmitting, and wherein the cochlear receiving antenna is electrically connected to the processor, and the processor is electrically connected to the electrode array and wherein the additional internal receiving antenna is electrically connected to the processor.

The present subject matter provides a gate for controlling passage of vehicles including: at least one first blocking element configured to swivel about a first pivot axis; and at least one second blocking element configured to swivel about a second pivot axis, wherein the first blocking element and the second blocking element are configured to swivel one opposite the other in a manner that a gap is formed between the first blocking element and the second blocking element, wherein the gap is set to allow or block passage of vehicles through the gap. A multi cascade cooling system is disclosed, having a refrigerant flowing in refrigerating components, that comprises at least one first heat-exchanger configured to receive the refrigerant from a component of the refrigerating components and cooling it with a first fluid provided by a sorption machine and at least one second heat-exchanger configured to receive the refrigerant from the at least one first heat-exchanger and regulate a temperature of the refrigerant with a second fluid provided by an auxiliary cooler. The refrigerant flows from the at least one second heat- exchanger to another component of the refrigerating components.
Abstract:
A portable device for thermal stimulation of tissue of a patient comprising a heat control element having a proximal side and a distal side wherein a temperature difference can be generated between the proximal side and the distal side, and wherein the proximal side is capable of contacting the tissue. A fan capable of exchanging heat with surrounding air and a heat sink coupled to the distal side are provided,. At least one resilient element connected between the heat sink and the fan is also provided, for supporting the fan so as to prevent direct contact between the heat sink and the fan. Furthermore at least one temperature sensor and circuitry are provided, wherein the circuitry activates the heat control element using the at least one temperature sensor, so as to achieve a desired temperature stimulation of the tissue at a rate of substantially 1 degree Celsius per second.

A results distribution system and method for validating a user's wager against results recorded in gambling authorities. The system comprises communication unit and processor. The communication unit is configured to: receive a first data comprising the wager's details and at least one user communication ID from the user, receive a second data comprising at least a subset of the results recorded in the gambling authority, and send a message comprising a wager-results dataset to the user communication ID. The processor is configured to evaluate the wager's details against the second data, and generate the wager-results message. In some embodiments, the system is further capable of serving as a wager ticket sales post and a wager money transfer station. In some embodiments, the system is further capable of regulating users' wagers according to different criteria.

An inductive power outlet may include a body casing for containing a primary inductor a driving unit and a fastening mechanism. The body casing may have dimensions suitable for introduction into a passageway through a plate of the item of furniture. The fastening mechanism may be utilized to secure the body casing to the plate of the item of furniture.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for efficient power regulation of a power transmission element having a power input and a power output. An output monitor is configured to monitor at least one system parameter and an input controller is configured to control the power input. A feedback mechanism may be provided to send feedback signals relating to the at least one system parameter to the input controller. The input controller may adjust the power input of the power transmission element to control voltage drop across the power transmission element and control temperature and heat loss from the system.

Electrical mats for generating heat, light or IR radiation which may be cut, drilled or trimmed and maintain their function. The mat is made of at least two sets of non-parallel electrodes of different polarities wherein electrodes of same polarities are connected to each other, but isolated from electrodes of different polarities; and a plurality of electrical elements connected to the electrode of different polarity and generating heat, radiation or light. The mats may be in the form of tiles, strips or tubes and may be used to tile 2D or 3D structures. The mats may also include cover layer or thermal isolation. Mats may be formed by deposition on a substrate or woven as fabric.

A switching system (2a) is provided configured to control a connection between a power supply (240) and an inductive power outlet (200) that comprises at least one primary inductor inductively couple with a secondary inductor associated with an inductive power receiver. The switching system comprises a circuit breaker (420) configured to disconnect the inductive power outlet from the power supply and a trigger switch (440) configured to disable the circuit breaker when the inductive power receiver is brought into proximity with the inductive power outlet.
