A system, method and program product for identifying expert resources amongst users of a workspace platform. A method is provided that includes associating each user with a set of topics and providing a score for each association, wherein associations and scores are determined by analyzing self-reporting data, workspace activity and document analysis; receiving an inputted topic from a requesting user; and identifying an expert user based on a calculated score assessed to the expert user for the inputted topic.
Abstract:
A system, method and program product for generating sound masking in an open-plan space. A method is disclosed that includes: establishing a set of acoustic criteria for the space that specifies minimum output levels at a set of specified frequencies; mixing sound samples to create an audio output stream for use as sound masking when broadcast over at least one speaker using a power amplifier; and processing the audio output stream, wherein the processing includes: analyzing the audio output stream with a spectrum analyzer to determine if the minimum output levels at the set of specified frequencies are met; and level adjusting the audio output stream with an equalizer to ensure that minimum output levels at the set of specified frequencies are met but do not exceed a given threshold above the minimum level.

A sound processing system, method and program product for estimating parameters from binaural audio data. A system is provided having: a system for inputting binaural audio; and a binaural signal analyzer (BICAM) that: performs autocorrelation on both the first channel and second channel to generate a pair of autocorrelation functions; performs a first layer cross-correlation between the first channel and second channel to generate a first layer cross-correlation function; removes the center peak from the first layer cross-correlation function and a selected autocorrelation function to create a modified pair; performs a second layer cross-correlation between the modified pair to determine a temporal mismatch; generates a resulting function by replacing the first layer cross correlation function with the selected autocorrelation function using the temporal mismatch; and utilizes the resulting function to determine ITD parameters and interaural level difference ILD parameters of the direct sound components and reflected sound components.

A method for investigating subterranean formations includes obtaining formation property data for a volume of ' interest in the subterranean formation s; presenting the formation property data as a collection of objects in a three-dimensional volume that represents the volume of interest (31); filtering the collection of objects based on proximity to a reference point (32) and a selected property associated with a subset of the collection of objects (33); and displaying objects that satisfy the proximity to the reference point and the selected property (34).

An approach that prepares an electronic document of continuous information for document exchange that simultaneously supports continuous and page-by-page printing is described. In one embodiment, there is an electronic document generator tool for document exchange that includes an input component configured to receive input with respect to preparing the electronic document of continuous information for continuous and page-by-page printing. The input comprises an indication to represent the electronic document of continuous information in a page-based file format for document exchange and an indication of target page sizes with respective unprintable margins that are desired for printing the electronic document of continuous information. A printable area customization component is configured to customize the electronic document of continuous information into a page-by-page electronic document that is suitable for both continuous and page-by-page printing without loss of information, scale changes and/or gaps of continuity. The printable area customization component is configured to determine a custom page size that represents the continuous information and prints to the target page sizes without loss of information, scale changes and/or gaps of continuity.

An invention for dynamically determining a trajectory of a drilled wellbore is provided. A method may include: receiving a piece of information including data converted from a measured physical characteristic of at least one of the wellbore or drilling the wellbore, the piece of information being relevant to determining a trajectory of the wellbore; and updating only a portion of the determined trajectory, a calculation of the portion of the determined trajectory being affected by the received data.

A system and method for tailoring music to an activity based on an activity goal is provided that includes: a system for defining the activity goal for the user, wherein the activity goal comprises an activity value that varies; a database of songs; a system for selecting songs from the database of songs and causing the selected songs to be played as the user performs the activity, wherein each selected song includes a tempo that guides the user to maintain an associated activity value defined in the inputted activity goal; and a feedback system that obtains feedback regarding the activity being performed by the user and determines if the user is on target to meet the inputted activity goal, wherein the feedback system automatically makes adjustments to the tempo during song playback if the user is not on target to meet the inputted activity goal.

Various implementations include systems for processing audio signals to remove artifacts introduced by a machine learning system in challenging environments. In particular implementations, a method includes generating a processed audio signal for a hearing assistance device in which the processed audio signal is intended to perceptually dominate a user auditory experience, including: processing an unprocessed audio signal received by the hearing assistance device, wherein the processing includes utilizing a machine learning (ML) system to generate an ML enhanced audio signal; determining a mixing coefficient from an environmental noise assessment; mixing the ML enhanced audio signal with the unprocessed audio signal using the mixing coefficient to generate the processed audio signal; and outputting the processed audio signal.

Various implementations include systems for processing inner microphone audio signals. In particular implementations, a system includes an external microphone configured to be acoustically coupled to an environment outside an ear canal of a user; an inner microphone configured to be acoustically coupled to an environment inside the ear canal of the user; and an adaptive noise cancelation system configured to process an internal signal captured by the inner microphone and generate a noise reduced internal signal, wherein the noise reduced internal signal is adaptively generated in response to an external signal captured by the external microphone.

A system and method for sharing resources between client devices in a virtual computing environment. A method is disclosed that includes receiving a request from a first client device for a list of available resources that are locally connected to other client devices and that are unavailable to the first client device via an enterprise service within the virtual computing environment; providing the list of available resources to the first client device; receiving a selection of a resource included within the list of available resources from the first client device; providing a push notification to a second client device connected to the selected resource to establish a connection with the selected resource; and providing, to the first client device, access to the selected resource via the established connection.
