Abstract: An egg analysis system and computer-implemented methods are provided. The system comprises a light source for illuminating an egg, a photon detector for detecting a fluctuation of scattering light emitted from the egg, a processor, and a memory storing instructions which when executed by the processor configure the processor to receive scattering light data from the photon detector, digitize the scattering light data, and analyze the digitized scattering light data. One computer-implemented method comprises a light source illuminating an egg, a photon detector detecting a fluctuation of scattering light emitted from the egg, receiving scattering light data from the photon detector, digitizing the scattering light data, and analyzing the scattering light data. Another computer-implemented method comprises receiving angle, frequency and intensity data of scattering light from an egg illuminated using a light source, identifying a germinal disc in the egg from the scattering light data, and determining at least one of a fertility or a sex of the egg based on the size and structure of the germinal disc.

Abstract: There is described a system for determining an atherosclerotic pathological tissue type of a coronary artery, the system comprising: an optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging system being configured for acquiring an OCT image of tissue within said coronary artery; and a controller configured for: using a trained fully convolutional engine stored on said memory and having a plurality of convolutional layers with respective dilation rates different than unity, extracting pathological tissues regardless their type in at least a region of interest of said OCT image; using a trained auto-encoder classification engine stored on said memory and having a layer characterized with a sparsity regularization parameter, determining an atherosclerotic pathological tissue type associated to said region of interest of said OCT image based on said extracted pathological tissues; and outputting said atherosclerotic pathological tissue type of said coronary artery.

Abstract: A spine for a troffer light fixture is provided. The spine is configured to receive omni-directional LED bulbs. The spine comprises: a base, a first wall, a second wall, and first end walls defining a light chamber shaped as a trough. Interior angles between the first wall, second wall, and base is 90-100 degrees respectively. The second wall defines a plurality of apertures each having a central axis arranged generally parallel in a linear arrangement. The apertures include: a pair of flanking apertures, the axis of each flanking aperture positioned 80-110 mm from one of the first end walls, and at least one interior aperture, the axis of each interior aperture positioned 135-145 mm from the axis of an adjacent aperture. Each of the plurality of apertures provides an opening through which an omni-directional LED bulb can extend parallel to the base to engage a socket mounted on the spine.

A power source may provide power through the silver or copper fibers to provide a heating surface at a surface of the facial garment or to increase effectiveness of anti-microbial or anti-viral barrier provided by the textile.
