Abstract:
Camera parameter calculating means (112) calculates a convergence angle and baseline length on the basis of a preset distance inputted by the user and outputs them to imaging means (102). Ineffective area calculating means (113) calculates the ineffective area of a video being imaged after receiving the preset distance, the baseline length and the performance information field angle from image recording means and outputs the ineffective area information to the imaging means (102). The image recording means (116) composed of two cameras can vary a video area according to the ineffective area information inputted from the ineffective area calculating means (113). Thus, an imaging device can set a distance between a arbitrary assumed position and the image recording means, automatically calculate the ineffective area in a parallel imaging in which optical axes of two cameras are parallel to each other, and switch the imaging to a cross imaging in which optical axes of the two cameras cross each other if the ratio of the ineffective area is greater than a predetermined threshold.
Abstract:
3-dimensional control information is created for 3-dimensional display of a main image. By multiplexing the main image, a thumbnail image, and the 3-dimensional control information, it is possible to output the thumbnail image for appropriately checking the image content when the main image is a 3-dimensional image. Moreover, it is judged whether the parallax amount of the 3-dimensional image is within the parallax range which can be viewed 3-dimensionally. If 3-dimensional view is impossible, an alarm is issued to a user and the parallax amount of the 3-dimensional image can be adjusted. Furthermore, when enlarging or contracting the 3-dimensional image, it is judged whether the parallax amount of the 3-dimensional image is within a parallax range which can be viewed 3-dimensionally. When the 3-dimensional view is difficult, the parallax can be adjusted.
Abstract:
An image data recording device (100) includes a 3-dimensional display control information creation section (11) for inputting a parameter indicating a condition when imaging a 3-dimensional image, encoding the parameter, and creating imaging condition information and a file creation section (12) for creating a multi-media information file containing both of the imaging condition information and the 3-dimensional image data or at least one of the 3-dimensional image data and the 2-dimensional image data.
Abstract:
3-dimensional image data (400) recorded or transmitted includes 3-dimensional image identification information (401) showing that there exists data relating to a 3-dimensional image. Version information (402), for example, is version "1" containing as control information (403) only the parameter for identifying the image data structure such as parallax barrier method and the lenticular method and version "2" further containing a parameter specifying the parallax amount as the control information (403). Thus, for example, a reproduction apparatus having no parallax amount adjustment function can perform 3-dimensional display if the version is "1" but cannot perform display according to the specified parameter if the version is "2", which can be judged without analyzing the control information (403). Moreover, it is possible to provide profile information (801) for setting parameter values such as the number of viewpoints and the reduction ratio .
