摘要： Disclosed is a process for production of an aromatic compound represented by the formula (3), wherein the process comprises reacting a compound represented by the formula (1) with an olefin compound represented by the formula (2) in the presence of a transition metal complex: (1) wherein the Ar 1 ring represents an aromatic hydrocarbon ring or an aromatic heterocyclic ring; and the Ar 2 ring represents a heterocyclic ring having X 1 and N * , wherein X 1 represents a nitrogen or carbon atom, and N * represents a nitrogen atom bound to one of two contiguous atoms in the Ar 2 ring via a double bond; (2) wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms or an aryl group having 6 to 18 carbon atoms; and (3) wherein Ar 1 , Ar 2 , X 1 , N * , R 1 , R 2 and R 3 are as defined above.
