Abstract: A method of adaptive modulation and coding of high speed downlink packet access is disclosed. It includes: a mobile network sends a high speed downlink packet access control signal down to a terminal. After the terminal receives the high speed downlink packet access control signal, it measures a HS-PDSCH or a pilot frequency channel, and then it can obtain the SNR or the receiving level intensity of the channel. And it feeds the measured value back to the mobile network through a uplink feedback channel. The mobile network calculates the manner of the modulation and coding, according to the measured value of the channel reporting from the terminal through the uplink feedback channel. And it sends the data of the high speed downlink packet access down to the terminal through the HS-PDSCH, according to the manner of the modulation and coding obtained by calculating.
