Abstract:
Ceramic equipment for heating air or gases comprising bundles of ceramic pipes (2), with individual seals in carbon gasket (13) allowing replacement of each item. The pipes are disposed together in a main mirror (15, 16) also of ceramics receiving and distributing the air or gas to be heated. The heater has a structure or casing (3) of carbon steel and insulation of ceramic fiber allowing support of the burners (1) and other accessories laterally at the inlet and in the extremities at the outlet. Due to the characteristics of their materials, it allows heating of gases to 1200°C and at a pressure of up to 1 MPa. As the used materials have low porosity, the soot adherence will be minimum thus allowing the use of poor or dirty gases. The system is provided with a central wall (4) that directs the fumes to the homogenization chamber (7) facilitating exhaust by the stack (8). The heater is provided with burners (1) disposed, half on each side, and the quantity thereof depends on the necessary power.
