Abstract: A system is provided that includes an aerosol atomization assembly or insert. The aerosol atomization assembly or insert includes a fluid atomization path, a pre-orifice disposed along the fluid atomization path and configured to restrict a fluid flow of fluid along the fluid atomization path, and a mechanical break-up unit disposed along the fluid path and configured to create turbulence in the fluid flow, wherein the pre-orifice and the mechanical break-up unit are integrated into a single piece.
