An electrostatic fluid delivery system is configured to deliver fluid, such as a disinfectant fluid, onto a surface by electrically charging the fluid and forming the fluid into a mist, fog, plume, or spray that can be directed onto a surface, such as a surface to be cleaned. The system atomizes the fluid using a high-pressure fluid stream and passes the fluid through an electrode of a nozzle assembly to charge droplets of the atomized fluid.

Abstract:
The present invention encompasses a composition comprising a viable pollen suspension in a water miscible carrier. The compositions are especially suitable for mechanical distribution, such as, electrostatic spraying of the viable pollen composition onto a flowering plant to increase pollination. The invention further provides a mechanical system and method for applying droplets containing a viable pollen suspension to flowering plants to increase pollination.

An impingement plate atomizer apparatus includes an electrostatically charged longitudinal member having an upper surface sized and shaped to receive a liquid cryogen thereon, a lower surface opposite to the upper surface, and at least one hole extending through the longitudinal member; an ultrasonic transducer in contact with the longitudinal member for providing ultrasonic energy thereto for atomizing the liquid cryogen into an electrostatically charged cryogen fog. A method is also provided for providing an eiectrostaticaily charged cryogen fog.
Abstract:
An induction charging nozzle assembly includes two branches of one or two electrodes, a nozzle and a power supply. The nozzle is positioned to spray an atomized spray of a liquid between parallel portions of the electrode branches. The power supply applies an electrical potential to the electrode(s) relative to the (grounded) liquid so that the liquid acquires an electrical charge when sprayed from the nozzle. Preferably, the nozzle is a hydraulic flat fan nozzle. The atomized spray preferably has a volume mean diameter between 80 microns and 140 microns and a charge-to-mass ratio of at least 0.8 mC/kg.

The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for coating a substrate (15) using one or more liquid raw materials, comprising: at least one atomizer (2) for atomizing the one or more liquid raw materials into droplets (3), charging means (4; 32) for electrically charging the droplets (3) during or after the atomization and a deposition chamber (16) in which the droplets (3) are deposited on the substrate (15), the deposition chamber (16) being provided with one or more electric fields for guiding the electrically charged droplets (3) on th e substrate (15). According to the invention there is a charging chamber (1) arranged upstream of the deposition chamber (16) and provided with charging means (4) for electrically charging the droplets (3).
