Abstract: An electronic tag document attaching device comprises an electronic tag attachment abnormality detecting sensor (18) for detecting an attachment abnormality in an electronic tag, an electronic tag writer (5) for writing information to be concealed to the memory of the electronic tag in the middle of the delivery of a document on the downstream side of the electronic tag attachment abnormality detecting sensor, an electronic tag reader (6) for reading out the concealed information written to the memory of the electronic tag from the memory thereof in the middle of the delivery of a document on the downstream side of the electronic tag writer,a switching gate (7) for reversibly switching a delivery path from a document holding room to an error document holding room, and a controller (11) for checking the information read out by the electronic tag reader against the concealed information written by the electronic tag reader.
