Abstract: The power steering system (1 ) is designed for a vehicle having a first steered axle (7) joining two first wheels (8), and a second steered axle (9) joining two second wheels (10) and located rearward from the first steered axle. It comprises: a first controlling device (14) designed to control the steering of the first wheels (8) and comprising a mechanical transmission of the movement from a steering wheel of the vehicle to the first wheels and a first hydraulic actuator (16) which is force-controlled; a second controlling device (30) designed to control the steering of the second wheels (10) and comprising: - a second hydraulic actuator (31 ) which is force-controlled; - and an additional actuator (45) which is capable of acting on the second wheels simultaneously with the second hydraulic actuator, and which is displacement-controlled, by a controller (46), relative to a position instruction (47).
