Abstract:
In order to produce reinforced plastic foils, a material is used whose lead threads (1) consist of a core (2) and a synthetic coating (3). The synthetic coatings are laterally extended by processing in a calendering unit and subsequently form a closed reinforced foil (4).
Abstract:
A UV filter lamp is proposed for tanning devices, with a high-pressure mercury vapour lamp (15) mounted in a housing (12) or glass bulb in the form of a rotation paraboloid. The inner region of the bottom part of the housing or glass bulb is coated with a reflection layer and the top section of the housing or glass bulb consists of a high-quality UV filter (13).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a face coverage of a tanning device for cosmetic tanning and the like operated using low-pressure mercury vapour lamps. In order to obtain a good useful radiation output in relation to the energy consumed, in which the skin aging as a result of the radiation is minimised, according to the invention UVC lamps are fitted in a housing which is lightproof except on one side and supply their light through a UVC-opaque absorption layer which acts as a sufficiently UVB and UVA-transparent window, in such a way that the UVB and UVA lines can be effective and used. It is possible here in particular to insert a PMMA plate having an absorbing layer of polysiloxane with UV radiation pigments.
Abstract:
A process and device for uniformly irradiating an irradiation plane (7), preferably with UV radiation, allow a large-surface lighting field to be obtained with a very regular intensity distribution and a significantly reduced number of lighting elements. For that purpose, the scattering plane (16) is irradiated at an acute angle, so that the grazing incident radiation (3), constituting as much as possible a beam of parallel rays, is totally scattered, and each surface element of the scattering plane (16) acts as a quasi-light source with a radiation as uniform as possible in the whole solid angle above plane (16). Since IR-radiation is preferably reflected to UV-radiation, it can be separated at the same time from the UV useful radiation. The scattering plane (16) consists of a base panel (5) upon which the scattering medium (4) is applied by means of an adhesive layer (17). All materials used must be UV-resistant. The device is preferably used in solariums or for measuring the efficiency of filtering panes.
Abstract:
To make an artificial UV tanning facility comfortable and user-friendly, a deckchair is covered with an elastic film transparent to ultraviolet rays. At distance from the deckchair, for example on a stand, a number of UV-rays lamps may be so arranged that the user's body is evenly exposed to UV light from all sides.
Abstract:
In order to improve the effectiveness or light yield of an elongated radiation source (2), a reflector surrounds the circumference of the radiation source with several cylindrical Fresnel lenses (3). The light generated by the radiation source (2) is almost completely reflected or deflected by prisms (5) or light deflectors (6) adjacent to the lateral or lower cylindrical Fresnel lenses (3) and exits the reflector as light rays that propagate in a parallel direction.
Abstract:
The invention aims to create a lighting surface with clearly delimited contours and delimiting sides positioned at angles to each other by means of a light source, a rotating paraboloidal reflector and a diffuser (7). To this end, on the inner side of the diffuser a plurality of internal, convex lenses (1) are arranged, whose optical axes are parallel to each other. On the outer side lying opposite the inner side the invention provides for an external, convex lense surface whose optical axis is perpendicular to the lighting surface.
Abstract:
High-pressure mercury vapour lamps are proposed for use in tanning facilities, said lamps being ignited by an auxiliary electrode between which and the main electrode the mains voltage is applied via an ohmic resistance.
Abstract:
In order to increase the useful life of UV tubes, it is proposed that a UV-C generating tube should be surrounded by an absorbent layer which blocks the emission of UV light of shorter wavelengths (below 280 nm) but is transparent to light of longer wavelengths. The absorbent layer consists of fluoropolymers or polysiloxanes in which ultra-fine gallium oxide or titanium dioxide, or a mixture of the two, is incorporated.
Abstract:
A device reinforces the insufficient browning of the shoulders obtained in solariums and thus produces a browning effect which is nearer to natural suntanning. The device has a reflector integrated in a head pillow which uniformly irradiates the whole shoulder area with UV rays. In the case of passive shoulder browners, the excess power from the face browner irradiated above the head is converted by the reflector into useful radiation for browning the shoulders. In the case of active shoulder browners, the radiation directed by the reflector to the shoulders through a shaft is generated by low-pressure or high-pressure lamps arranged in the pillow and by the required ballasts and lighting devices also arranged therein. In the case of low-pressure lamps, the power may be approximated to that of a solarium by lamps movably arranged in the pillow. In the case of high-pressure lamps, the IR-radiation may be filtered out by using scattering planes.
