Abstract:
A filter device for a dishwasher and associated apparatus and method are provided. The filter device includes an elongate housing having opposed ends, with one of the ends defining a fluid inlet. The housing is configured to define a channel therein extending between the opposed ends and has an upper wall and substantially vertical opposing side walls extending therefrom. The upper wall comprises a solid member, and at least one of the side walls comprises a fine mesh filtering screen, wherein washing fluid directed into the fluid inlet is filtered by the fine mesh filtering screen such that soil suspended therein is retained within the channel while the washing fluid passes through the fine mesh filtering screen and out of the channel.
Abstract:
A screening arrangement is provided for a dishwasher (10) having a tub portion (12) defining a sump about a lower end thereof. The dishwasher further includes a heating element (30)" disposed proximate to the lower end of the tub portion and defining laterally-opposed inner and outer peripheries. A screen element (32) is arranged adjacent the sump and is configured to screen a - dishwashing fluid entering the sump from the tub portion. The screen element (32) extends laterally inward of the inner periphery of the heating element (30) and laterally outward of the outer periphery of the heating element. The screen element is also configured to be heat-resistant so as to protect one of the lower end, the sump, and a lower spray arm from heat emitted by the heating element. An associated apparatus and method are also provided.
Abstract:
A support member (1) is provided that includes' a body defining a first channel (3) configured to engage a main spine (21) of a folding rack (20) and a second channel (2) perpendicularly disposed with respect to the first channel (3) and configured to engage a wire member (11) of a dishwasher rack so as to secure the folding rack thereto. The body further defines an aperture (5) configured to receive therethrough one of a plurality of tines (23) of the folding rack (20). The aperture (5) can define horizontal (5a) and vertical (56) support portions configured to support the tine (23) when the folding rack (20) is in folded and unfolded positions, respectively. The aperture (5) can further define an arcuate channel (5c) extending between the horizontal support portion (5a) and the vertical support portion (5b), the arcuate channel (5c) being configured to axially displace the tine (33) along the longitudinal axis as the tine (33) is moved between the horizontal support portion (5a) and the vertical support portion (5b).
Abstract:
A beverage system includes an ingredient module and an ingredient dispensing valve in communication with the ingredient module, the ingredient dispensing valve dispensing an ingredient into a beverage container. The ingredient module comprises a housing, an ingredient container disposed within the housing, a first ingredient conduit disposed between the ingredient container and the ingredient dispensing valve, and a pumping device that causes the ingredient to move from the ingredient container, through the first ingredient conduit, and through the ingredient dispensing valve under pressure.
Abstract:
A noise-reducing device (100) for a drain pump of a dishwasher is provided, wherein the drain pump includes a pump motor (250) operably engaged with a pump mechanism disposed within a pump body (205). The drain pump is adapted to remove dishwashing fluid from a sump of the dishwasher. Such a noise-reducing device (100) comprises a cover member (104) adapted to substantially conformally-encompass the pump body (205) of the drain pump, exclusively of the pump motor, to reduce transmission therethrough of noise generated by the pump mechanism during operation of said drain pump. An acoustic liner (102) is disposed between said cover member (104) and the pump body of the drain pump, in substantial correspondence with the cover member (104) and exclusively of the pump motor. The acoustic liner (102) is configured to further reduce transmission therethrough of noise generated by the pump mechanism during operation of the drain pump.
