    Abstract: A wearable electronic device may be provided that includes a first image sensor oriented to capture luminance of an area of skin around a user's eye when wearing the wearable electronic device and a second image sensor oriented to capture luminance of an area of skin around the user's nose when wearing the wearable electronic device. The wearable electronic device further includes a processor configured to determine a pulse signal based on changes in luminance captured over time using at least one of the first image sensor or the second image sensor.

    Abstract: In one implementation, a method of performing perspective correction of an image is performed by a device including an image sensor, a display, one or more processors, and non-transitory memory. The method includes capturing, using the image sensor, an image of a physical environment. The method includes obtaining a plurality of depths respectively associated with a plurality of pixels of the image of the physical environment. The method includes generating a clamped depth map of the image of the physical environment based on the plurality of depths, wherein each element of the clamped depth map has a depth value above or equal to a depth threshold. The method includes generating a display image by transforming, using the one or more processors, the image of the physical environment based on the clamped depth map and a difference between a perspective of the image sensor and a perspective of a user. The method includes displaying, on the display, the display image.

    Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to kernel task scheduling. In various embodiments, a computing device receives, at a first scheduler, a compute graph defining interrelationships for a set of tasks to be performed by the computing device. In some embodiments, the set of tasks are performed to provide an extended reality (XR) experience to a user. The first scheduler determines a schedule for implementing the set of tasks based on the interrelationships defined in the compute graph and issues instructions to cause a second scheduler of the computing device to schedule performance of the set of tasks in accordance with the determined schedule.

    Abstract: A head-mountable device (100) can include electronic circuits, such as cameras (150, 350, 450), sensors (170), and input/output devices. The head-mountable device can secure such electronic circuits with an assembly that also provides thermal dissipation, electrical grounding, and a sealed chamber (312, 412) to isolate the electronic circuit from ingress of debris. The assembly can provide a degree of mobility, where desired. Accordingly, the electronic circuit can operate more optimally and with lower risk of degradation and interference with other components of the head-mountable device.

    Abstract: A wearable electronic device can include a light seal to comfortably engage the face of the user and to exclude light from an external environment. The light seal can include one or more air bladders that conform as needed to the face of the user. One or more of the air bladders can include a valve that releases air from the air bladder when a pressure within the air bladder exceeds a threshold. Such release can cushion the user from an external force applied to the wearable electronic device. The air bladders can have different configurations, such that greater relief is provided to more sensitive regions of the user's face.
