Abstract: The present invention relates to a vacuum hose storage and access device (10) for a vacuum cleaning system, comprising a vacuum outlet connection (11), a vacuum hose coupling (12) and a reel (13) having a central space (19) and a first flange (16) and a second flange (17) for receiving a vacuum hose (15) there between, wherein the reel (13) is rotatably connected to the vacuum outlet connection (11) so that the vacuum hose (15) can be winded onto the reel (13). The reel (13) is rotatably supported by the vacuum outlet connection (11) by means of a first rotating means (22), and the vacuum hose coupling (12) is rotatably supported by the vacuum outlet connection (11) through a second rotating means (23), wherein the first rotating means (22) is radially displaced in relation to the vacuum hose coupling (12), so that the reel (13) is supported independently of the vacuum hose coupling (12).
