摘要： The present invention relates to a method of screening for an agent for use as a medicament for the prevention or treatment of a musculoskeletal system disorder, comprising determining whether a test agent modulates the amount and/or activity of matriptase. The present invention also provides examples of agents which are capable of modulating the amount and/or activity of matriptase, and therefore have use as a medicament for the prevention or treatment of a musculoskeletal system disorder.
