A radio shield attachment for a portable radio communications device. The radio shield attachment is configured to shield radio communications emanating from the portable radio communications device at a radio frequency band of the portable radio communications device. The radio shield attachment comprises an inwards wireless radio coupler, an outwards wireless radio antenna and a radio frequency converter. The inwards wireless radio coupler is configured to wirelessly communicate locally with the portable radio communications device at the shielded radio frequency band of the portable radio communications device. The outwards wireless radio antenna is configured to wirelessly communicate remotely at a second different radio frequency band. The radio frequency converter is configured to convert radio communications between the shielded radio frequency band and the second different radio frequency band to allow for remote radio communications to and from the portable radio communications device to be received and transmitted at the second different radio frequency band.

The present invention proposes a routing scheme for networks, especially for a wireless sensor networks. With the invention, an end-to-end path can be built, and then a lightweight streaming data dissemination scheme for wireless sensor networks with mobile sinks is obtained. The proposed method comprising: flooding a message within limited hops to discover at least one data processing apparatus of a network; in response to said flooding, receiving at least one reply; if there is no reply coming from a data processing apparatus, transmitting at least one request to an intermediate apparatus from which the reply is sent, to discover at least one data processing apparatus with the routing information maintained by the intermediate apparatus.

In example embodiments, a method comprises receiving a wireless broadcast message including a message ID and an associated distributor address; buffering the received wireless broadcast message and starting an observation window timer for the message if the message ID of the received wireless broadcast message is not stored in a database of message IDs and associated distributor addresses for previously received wireless broadcast messages; calculating a relaying probability for the received wireless broadcast message, based on a number of distributor address entries associated with the message ID in the database, the entries resulting from receiving other wireless broadcast messages having the same message ID during the observation window; transmitting the buffered message following termination of the observation window, based on the calculated relaying probability; and starting a cooling window timer upon termination of the observation window and removing all records containing the message ID from the database following termination of the cooling window.
