Abstract:
A pressure gauge for an aerosol container includes a scale attached to the container body and a pointer associated with and movable relative to the scale. The pointer is operatively coupled to a valve assembly of the aerosol container. The pointer moves relative to the scale in response to movement of at least a portion of the valve assembly due to internal pressure in the container body to provide a reading.
Abstract:
A barrier package aerosol container includes a can, valve, and piston disposed in the interior volume of the can. The piston is movable toward a top end of the can to facilitate dispensing of flowable material in the can. Opposing surfaces of the piston and the can and the valve define an interstitial space of the interior volume in which the flowable product is receivable. The piston is contacts at least one of the interior surface of the can at its top end and the valve, to define a piston interface when the piston is at the top end of the can during use. At least one of the piston, the can, and the valve defines one or more flow passages at the piston interface to allow flowable material in the interstitial space to flow through the piston interface toward the valve inlet during use.
Abstract:
A valve (10) for dispensing a flowable product from a container includes a mounting cup (14). The mounting cup includes a bottom wall (24) having a central portion (26) defining a seal-mounting opening (28) through which a seal (18) and a stem (16) extend. An external seal bead (46) of the seal overlies an upper end of the central portion (26). The upper end of the central portion is disposed at or below a plane extending transverse to a central axis of the mounting cup and defined by a juncture of a sidewall (22) and an annular sidewall-bottom transition portion (66) of the mounting cup (14).
Abstract:
One component polyurethane foam forming compositions are provided which contain a rodent repellent yet have shelf life stability of at least 6 months at 20C. Two component polyurethane foam forming compositions are also provided.
Abstract:
A hold-open device (18) for a container-in-container dispenser (10) has an elongate body that is flexible along its length. The elongate body defines a longitudinal internal passage extending along its length and through first and second longitudinal ends of the elongate body. The elongate body defines a plurality of longitudinal external channels (40) extending along the length of the elongate body and through the first and second longitudinal ends of the elongate body. The hold-open device (18) is to be received in an inner container (14) of the container-in-container dispenser.
Abstract:
A formulation technology for low pressure two component polyurethane foam-forming compositions containing gaseous hydrohaloolefin blowing agents is described with improved storage stability and extended shelf-life. The "B"-side component of the formulations contain a gaseous hydrohaloolefin blowing agent and a polyol pre-mix, the polyol pre-mix comprising liquid blowing agent, polyol, and a catalyst containing at least one catalytic metal compound.
Abstract:
A seal for a valve for dispensing a flowable product from a pressurized container. The seal comprises a material comprising a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) selected from the group consisting of thermoplastic polyamides (TPAs), thermoplastic copolyesters (TPCs), olefinic thermoplastic elastomer (TPOs), styrenic block copolymers (TPSs), thermoplastic urethanes (TPUs), thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPVs), or nonclassified thermoplastic elastomers (TPZs).
Abstract:
A valve dispenses flowable product from a container. The valve includes a mounting cup for mounting the valve on the container, a seal supported on the mounting cup, and a valve stem extending through the seal. The seal and the valve stem define a generally annular passage section of the valve passage that extends longitudinally along the valve axis radially between the valve stem and the seal. At least one of the valve stem and the seal includes a baffle extending transverse to the valve axis, the baffle defining a flow restriction along the generally annular passage section.
Abstract:
A cover and trigger assembly is provided that includes having a valve that can be actuated for dispensing the contents of the can through an outlet of the valve. The assembly includes an annular component having a helical surface is secured to the can, and a cover coupled to the annular component. The cover has an opening through which a trigger extends, and the cover is rotatable relative to the helical surface on the annular component for rotatably raising or lowering the cover relative to the annular component. The raising or lowering of the cover respectively prohibits or permits movement of the trigger member to actuate the valve, thereby controlling dispensing operation of the valve.
Abstract:
A pressurized container assembly comprising: a pressurized container; a flowable product and a propellant disposed within the pressurized container under pressure, wherein the propellant is substantially non-soluble in the flowable product within the pressurized container; a valve coupled to the pressurized container, wherein the valve is configured to be selectively actuated to enable the flowable product to be dispensed from the pressurized container; and a shearing chamber in fluid communication with the valve, wherein the shearing chamber is configured to receive a flow of the flowable product and the propellant when the valve is actuated, the shearing chamber configured to impart shear to the flowable product as the flowable product flows through the shearing chamber to foam the flowable product within the shearing chamber.
