Abstract:
A holder for storing a collectible, such as a stack of banknotes, having a first housing assembled with a second housing and defining an enclosed space therein. A collectible receiving structure is disposed within the enclosed space and spaced from an outer perimeter wall. One or more spacers can be added to the enclosed space in order to change an effective height of the enclosed space. A locking structure can keep the first housing assembled with the second housing, and can be configured so that an attempt to disassemble the first housing from the second housing will damage one or both of the first housing and second housing.
Abstract:
In some embodiments, a method can include augmenting a set of images of collectables to generate a set of synthetic images of collectables. The method can further include combining the set of images of collectables and the set of synthetic images of collectables to produce a training set. The method can further include training a set of machine learning models based on the training set. Each machine learning model from the set of machine learning models can generate a grade for an image attribute from a set of image attributes. The set of image attributes can include an edge, a corner, a center, or a surface. The method can further include executing, after training, the set of machine learning models to generate a set of grades for an image of collectable not included in the training set.
Abstract:
A system for acquiring and managing collectibles is disclosed and described herein that may include a global collectibles database, a collectibles catalog, and a comparison module. The global collectibles database includes about collectibles for sale from at least two different vendors, auction sites, dealers, trade shows or a combination thereof. The collectibles catalog includes information about known collectibles in existence. The comparison module may be used to compare collectibles for sale with known collectibles and/or collectibles of a collector and available collectibles for sale.
Abstract:
An automated evaluation system for obtaining images for collectable items and using artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze different parameters of the images, such as an edge parameter, a corner parameter, and a centering parameter. The system can move the collectable items, which can be collectable cards, using a robotic arm or through manual manipulation to a working area to then obtain images of the collectable items using a camera or a scanner. The images can be saved to a database and accessible by a control computer to analyze the images with the AI model. The system can provide a first-pass grade as to the authenticity and condition of the card. The grade can be manually verified by a human grader.
